== Smashers' birthdays? ==
I've been meaning to make this ambitious proposal for a while now, and I decided to wait until the traffic after Smash 4's release died down a bit. Anyway, I was wondering if the community would be okay with putting the birthdays of competitive players on this template as they happen, kinda' like we did with Sakurai's 44th a few months back. (He doesn't look nearly as old as he is, btw). Obviously, we wouldn't do this for EVERYONE, especially not smashers who are inactive, or not extremely notable outside their regions or anything like that, but for those who are active and recognizable to just about anyone, I think would be fine. So what do you guys think? Coin Battle?

I saw GameXplains latest discussion and they say that the Coin Battle mode will probably return (The text bubble in the third pikmin has coins in it?????) Can I add that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎Smasher-Billy (talkcontribs) 11:26, 20 October 2014 (EDT)

I personally don't think it's newsworthy that an old (unpopular) mode is returning. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Zesty 11:28, 20 October 2014 (EDT)

New 3DS/Wii U Pics

I found this in my Facebook feed. Aidan the Gamer 23:14, 20 October 2014 (EDT)

Yeah, it looks like a press pack of Wii U images for Ness, Falco and Wario. However, there isn't anything particularly new in these images, from what I've been able to tell. Miles (talk) 23:35, 20 October 2014 (EDT)
Well, it confirms Starman and Kat & Ana for the Wii U version, so... Aidan the Gamer 23:39, 20 October 2014 (EDT)
Doesn't warrant an entry on the already busy News template. All that really requires of us is to tweak a couple 4-3 icons into 4 icons. Miles (talk) 23:53, 20 October 2014 (EDT)
Fair point. With the Wii U version coming in, like, 31 days now, small news like this shouldn't really take up all the space. However, I'm going to go add this info to the Assist Trophy page. Aidan the Gamer 23:56, 20 October 2014 (EDT)

Updates

I think we should utilize the "latest version" box in some way for game updates. Maybe we could have it light up in a stronger colour in the week following an update, or put the date of the latest version in the box and bold it if it's recent, or something of the sort. That way we won't need to have a separate news item for every minor update (major updates would get both). Toomai Glittershine ??? The Chilled 23:17, 27 October 2014 (EDT)

Agree: I think that's a great idea. This would separate the regular news from (somewhat) unimportant updates, and it would still give us the information we need. Aidan the Gamer 23:23, 27 October 2014 (EDT)

EU Release Date Change

Nintendo's Twitter feed and Facebook's SSB page are saying that the EU release date has changed to the 28/11 today. Can someone put this in? I would, but I'm not the best at links.ScoreCounter 06:11, 31 October 2014 (EDT)

I'd add it, if I knew how... --Wolfy76700 (talk) 06:46, 31 October 2014 (EDT)

French Championships

Nassim has won the first official Smash Bros. French Championship at the Paris Game Week --Wolfy76700 (talk) 13:11, 2 November 2014 (EST)

Jigglypuff

Jigglypuff can also be seen in the two Pics of the Day of October 29. 84.26.240.80 12:48, 4 November 2014 (EST)

Yeah at this point I don't think Jigglypuff being shown pre-official-reveal is notable, given how they're basically treating it as a starter in all the Wii U images. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Multifaceted 12:59, 4 November 2014 (EST)

Fastest Selling Wii U Title

Can I put on the news that Smash Wii U has become the system's fastest selling game, now beating MK8? Mathwiz86 Talk to me 21:26, 25 November 2014 (EST)

That would go under the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U page. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) is bad for me 21:35, 25 November 2014 (EST)

Forgot Something

Did everyone forgot that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U was released in Europe? Because its now offically released in Europe or something. (Smashworker101 (talk) 17:53, 27 November 2014 (EST))

No one forgot; we're just waiting one more hour for it to be released in all of Europe. Rtzxy Reflect.jpg Reflect! 18:03, 27 November 2014 (EST)
Oh, well we all cannot tell time from other places like China, Italy, France, Samolia, Germany, etc.. BTW I like your Christmas signature and I suppose I should read the SW:TALK again and again because I said my opinion about your signature which nobody cares about my opinion. :b (Smashworker101 (talk) 22:04, 27 November 2014 (EST))
Thanks, and stating your opinion about my signature wouldn't technically violate SW:TALK in this instance; it's gets complicated in these situations. Rtzxy Reflect.jpg Reflect! 22:12, 27 November 2014 (EST)
Yeah It does really get complicating like situations like this. :D (Smashworker101 (talk) 22:36, 27 November 2014 (EST))
