Read this first, man

If you're new to this whole "wiki" thing, please take a good look at SW:TALK before sending me a message. TLDR, this is for SmashWiki business (that is somehow connected to me) only - here's where you can question my motives behind that one edit, or tell me why I should submit a request for administrator - and anything else, even simple discussion of Smash in general, can and should be directed at one of my other methods of contact, as seen on my userpage (which you should totally read anyway, by the way). Thanks for reading, love you! Sincerely, Ender R. Musk.

To answer your question on the sandbox...[edit]

If you still do not know why, you'll need to be autoconfirmed before you can create any kind of pages except for talk pages, which anyone can create. But before you go, see SW:TALK. WeegeegamingWeegeegamingicon.png talkcontribs 08:48, July 11, 2020 (EDT)

I am aware of the art of autoconfirming and what Talk Pages are for, and merely wanted someone else to create my Talk Page and User Page for me (which you very kindly did the former of, many thanks). Happy editing! Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. (Talk to me, babe | See my great achievements) 15:38, July 11, 2020 (EDT)
Hey, wait! If anyone can create a talk page, why couldn't I? Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. (Talk to me, babe | See my great achievements) 16:06, July 11, 2020 (EDT)
Weegee is actually incorrect, any registered user can create pages regardless of their confirmation status... except when the wiki is in a yellow or higher status, which it is right now. At which point, page creation is restricted to autoconfirmed users. This restriction also extends to editing user pages, so even if someone creates your user page for you, you still won’t be able to edit it until autoconfirmation. Black Vulpine of the 🦊Furry Nation🐺. I understand now, thank you so much! Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. (Talk to me, babe | See my great achievements) 19:21, July 11, 2020 (EDT)

This[edit]

I noticed two problems on this post. First, it may violate our policy to quietly deal with vandals and it may count as block talk, which admins only have rights to do. I hope you understand what I mean and have a great day. S3AHAWK The Spooky OneThis image is my signature icon. Also seen on Wikibound as File:S3AHAWK SIG.png 12:54, October 20, 2020 (EDT)

Understood, but it doesn't look like intentional vandalism to me. I wasn't sure of what to do. Sorry for making such a big deal of it. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. Picture that will go next to my signature, a duplicate of Banjo & Kazooie's stock icon. 13:01, October 20, 2020 (EDT)

Seconding what Ω-Toad said, but I should also point out that users around here typically have contact info and the like on their Userpage, which you should be well familiar with. See mine for all that stuff, please stop editing yours, and have a good day. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. Your two move proposals[edit]

Hello SamtheBKBoss, I have seen your two proposals to have two pages moved. I just want to bring up that there is a tag that can propose for a move. The tag is {{move|page name|reason}}. This is a way to put the suggestion on the page. Have a great day. S3AHAWK The Festive OneThis image is my signature icon. Page creations[edit]

Don't just create a page just so it exists. Actually put some effort into it (and not a few sentences). CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 19:04, December 17, 2020 (EST)

I figured it was better than having nothing at the time, I'm sure people will come here to read about what was announced and I didn't want them to have nothing. Sorry about that. You're still creating empty pages with the recent 13.0.1 update. If you have nothing to add, be patient; they'll be completed eventually. See SW:CNA. For use as my signature icon during Christmas. Nokii · 22:26, December 1, 2021 (EST)

Mate, it was a lot of work to fill out the scaffolding for those pages with all the fighter's names. I also wouldn't be the first one to do this - quite a few update templates in the past have been started empty in the same way. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. About your edit on the Xenoblade page[edit]

I was the one who created that whole trivia on "no prior representation in the series", so I might as well give a little clarification about it.

When I created that trivia, the idea I was going for was 1st-party franchises that, essentially, were first represented in the series with a playable fighter (i.e. there weren't represented with an Assist Trophy, item, stage, trophy/sticker, etc. before receiving a fighter). This trivia was written long before Min Min got in Smash, so I didn't think even think of a potential idea where a Smash game introduces a first-party universe with only semi-major representation at best in the base game that would later get a DLC fighter in the very same game.

Just thought I'd let you know that. SmashTurtlesSig1.pngSuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle TribeSmashTurtlesSig2.png 14:04, February 19, 2021 (EST)

Block talk[edit]

You shouldn't tell a user they could be blocked like you did here. --CanvasK (talk) 10:27, April 7, 2021 (EDT)

The Brawl edit to yeti's page.[edit]

I understand your reasoning to remove yeti's Pro-am status from his page given I only had one result for him. My reasoning anyway, was since he showed up and took a game off of number five on the PR at the time. I thought that may have warranted Pro-am status, but I'll defer to you on whether it ought to be removed or not. MintyGuy700 (talk) 20:53, April 24, 2021 (EDT)

amiibo[edit]

Do you happen to have a source on where you got the transparent images for the Min Min, Steve, and Alex amiibo? --CanvasK (talk) 12:57, October 12, 2021 (EDT)

smashbros.com's amiibo page, features transparent renders for every amiibo. Gets updated instantly when a new one is announced.
Pretty obscure part of the site. I like to dig around the site's assets, it's very handy for top-quality renders of fighters - for example, if I want to make a poster/collage like the one on my userpage. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. Picture that will go next to my signature, a duplicate of Banjo & Kazooie's stock icon. 13:04, October 12, 2021 (EDT)
Thank you, I searched everywhere except the smashbros.com page and couldn't find them. I had suspicions that they may have been JPEGs edited to be transparent because I assumed an official render wouldn't have the shadow and disabling the alpha channel in an editor shows blocks of color like a JPEG. Out of pure curiosity, did you upload them through the URL or did you save and upload them from your computer? And if the latter did you happen to do anything to it or use a file optimizer? There are very tiny (and I mean very tiny) differences between the one I got from smashbros.com and from here and I'm curious if the upload method or if the wiki server did that. --CanvasK (talk) 13:27, October 12, 2021 (EDT)
Downloaded 'em. The way I normally save pictures got them in WEBP format, and I was short on time so I didn't bother trying to get the PNG files directly, and instead used a website called Convertio. It's saved me a lot of trouble in the past. I suppose I should look into ways to bypass the WEBP conversion now that I have time. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. Picture that will go next to my signature, a duplicate of Banjo & Kazooie's stock icon. 15:10, October 12, 2021 (EDT)
The conversion probably explains the tiny differences. I got mine from using "Page Info" in Firefox, which gave me a PNG (whether an image will be WEBP or not seems to be toss up nowadays). I personally toss my WEBPs into GIMP and just "Export As" to a PNG, works well enough. Thanks for the info. --CanvasK (talk) 15:22, October 12, 2021 (EDT)

Rollback Disclaimer[edit]

This was a misclick and completely unintentional! Curse my randomly fast internet connection for not letting me cancel in time. I immediately rolled it back, no further action needs to be taken. I'll be extra careful from now on. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. Picture that will go next to my signature, a duplicate of Banjo & Kazooie's stock icon. 15:27, December 4, 2021 (EST)

You didn’t really need to explain yourself. Rollback misfires happen all the time, and everyone knows what one looks like. Generally you only need to explain if someone else reverts it before you do, or otherwise asks you about it. Black Vulpine the 🦊Furry🐺.
