Recently the issue of keeping the Pokémon Trainer (SSBU) page consistent with the individual character pages has been brought up on the Discord. The concern is that the changes from Brawl section may not be consistent between all the pages. However removing the information from the Pokémon Trainer (SSBU) page raises the issue that unlike with Zelda/Sheik from Melee and Brawl, users of the site are much more likely to search up the Pokémon Trainer rather than each individual Pokémon when trying to see what has changed with the character, and so doing this risks making the wiki less user-friendly. One of these style templates could be made for all 3 characters, and the template pages themselves can be edited and the templates inserted on the relevant sections of the pages, thus ensuring consistency between all the pages. Hence I am proposing that we move to using templates for the 3 Pokémon in Pokémon Trainer's arsenal for the changelog section as well as the individual Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard SSBU pages' changelog sections.

Oppose[edit]

  1. Oppose. For one, the Mii Fighters have their individual changes on their individual pages, and not also on the Mii Fighter page, so it would be inconsistent if we just did this for the Pokémon Trainer. For two, Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Chairzard had their own pages for Brawl, and they were obviously created so that people could view their own individual movesets instead of having three on one page; we did this in Smash 4 as well with the Mii Fighters. For three, the character table for Ultimate that we have has all four characters in one box, so the pages are there for people to see. The way I see it, we should treat this like the Mii Fighter page: have changes that apply to all characters go on the "main" one, while having individual changes on their individual pages. 2. Soft Oppose. As per Aidan's argument. MintyGuy700 (talk) 01:39, 26 June 2018 (EDT)

  5. Oppose. Check my comments on the Pokemon Trainer's talk page for Universe as it was mostly the same as Aidan's. Additionally, it's far easier to streamline the pages by asking users to check the Pokemon's respective pages, than create a modified template simply for this page alone. Is there a reason why this is still here? I don't see this going any further. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Furries make the internets go! :3 09:19, 14 July 2018 (EDT)

Quite frankly, seeing as how no one else put a supporting vote and we have four other opposing votes, I'd say consensus has been reached. Aidan, the College-Bound Rurouni 09:50, 14 July 2018 (EDT)
