Your new block[edit]
I will make this short. The community at large has demanded your long-term removal from the wiki, and after reviewing the evidence, the staff have agreed. I very strongly recommend you review the evidence yourself, by which I mean, reading it is a prerequisite to being allowed back when the block is over.
Since no response of yours could possibly improve your situation (i.e. anything to you say, here or elsewhere, will only make this worse), I have blocked your talkpage rights as a courtesy.
This is your chance to recognise what you are doing wrong and learn from it. Toomai Glittershine

Re: C-Stick[edit]
I tested the smash C-Stick thing in Smash 4 with PK Thunder and got these results (inputs done after it reached the right edge of the closest platform). Same deal in Ultimate, but with a larger angle change. (The following is why I'm doing a talk post instead of an edit) I'm not sure I agree with saying the input "persists", as to me that suggests the PK Thunder would eventually go straight up like with a held control stick input--instead it behaves as a brief input and needs multiple inputs to reach straight up. With Elytra it is closer to a control stick input, so I'd say that one is persistent. Also (at least with PK Thunder), left and right C-Stick inputs with also change the angle, not just up and down. --CanvasK (talk) 20:43, April 25, 2024 (EDT)
- With PK Thunder, you can see that if you make a C-Stick input before using PK Thunder, and keep the stick held, when you try to angle the thunder forward, it will go diagonally up or down, and if you keep the control stick held forward, you can circle the C-Stick (so as not to repeat the input) to angle it slightly up and down. I've found that a few specials work in this way, for example if you have the C-Stick held up and you input Fire Fox to the side with the control stick, it will go diagonally up slightly. If you keep the C-Stick held down and tap up on the control stick to input Mewtwo's Up B, he will teleport down instead of the default up. Other examples include being able to shift your shield (again, with prior C-Stick input, as a new one will obviously cause you to grab), and as long as you circle the stick and don't return it to neutral, you can shift between shifting it slightly up and slightly down. All of this indicates that the stick is continuing to make slight vertical inputs for some reason. Alex the Weeb 21:25, April 25, 2024 (EDT)
- Interesting. I tried that in Smash 4 and having the C-Stick in any position (that would trigger a smash attack) would result in the control stick's input being ignored completely. Every special was neutral special and I couldn't walk/run. Setting the C-Stick to tilt or special didn't halt movement, but it also had no affect on PK Thunder (special kinda did, but it only registered a single angle change and ignored the others, and holding it prevented other specials). --CanvasK (talk) 21:54, April 25, 2024 (EDT)
April 2025[edit]
Hey, I have noticed that you added or changed information on the rice Topi, but you didn't add a source.
It's been removed for now, but in the future it would be helpful you found a source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.176.220.225 (talk • contribs) 16:37, 13 April 2025
- 1. I didn't add information, I undid your unexplained removal of information.
- 2. We don't need a source for this, as it's not a statement of fact, it's presenting the most widely accepted explanation among fans, since Nintendo themselves never officially explained it.
- 3. Please don't use that patronizing tone with me. I'm quite familiar with how sourcing works.
- 4. Please sign your comments on talk pages by adding 4 tildes (~~~~) to the end of your comment. Alex the Weeb 16:47, April 13, 2025 (EDT)
Trivia Or Overview?[edit]
I don't know whether Wiimote select sounds should be in overviews or trivia, but they definitely shouldn't be in both. Here's an example of the Wiimote select sound in the overview: https://www.ssbwiki.com/Peach_(SSBB) Yo'ster (talk) 12:03, June 4, 2025 (EDT)
- The overview section is for describing the sound, like with any other page. The trivia section is for trivia or factoids pertaining to that sound. For example, most of the Wii Remote sounds in Brawl were newly added for Brawl, so for the handful that weren't, it's trivia-worthy to mention that. Alex the Weeb 12:58, June 4, 2025 (EDT)
Trivia[edit]
The one about Jigglypuff's ribbon seems like a slippery slope into making "trivia" about any costume that is or isn't in all but 1 game, like "SSBU is the only game where Pikachu has Pikachu Libre as a costume", which would make for a lot of bloated sections. Yo'ster (talk) 09:04, June 11, 2025 (EDT)
- I don't think that's really the same thing. Jigglypuff's bow has been with her in every game in the series, except Brawl where it is conspicuously absent. That's not the same as a newly added alt in Ultimate that may or may not stick around. It's especially noteworthy since it returned in the very next game, rather than never returning since its removal, making its absence in Brawl even stranger. Alex the Weeb 09:12, June 11, 2025 (EDT)
- Ehhhhhhhhhh... I'll get a 2nd opinion.Yo'ster (talk) 17:36, June 11, 2025 (EDT)
- I agree with Alex. I think the only people who would add a hypothetical Pikachu Libre trivia point would be extremely pedantic, and would easily understand if told about the difference between good trivia and bad trivia. Aidan the Ace Gamer 19:40, June 11, 2025 (EDT)

s's[edit]
https://www.ssbwiki.com/index.php?title=Shuttle_Loop&curid=1316&diff=2002890&oldid=2002889
as i said in the edit description, s' is *usually* reserved for biblical and sometimes historical figures. i gathered some sources for more info
- 1 - suggests "darius's"
- 2 - a name doesn't use s's if it would be unnatural, like socrates' instead of socrates's, and ness's is perfectly fine to say
- 3 - suggests "dickens's" and "jesus'" but also acknowledges that just an apostrophe is becoming common in the modern era
- 4 - suggests "jesus's", forgoing the biblical/historical rule in favour of always using s's
so even though its acceptable to write ness', its generally more correct to write ness's. im not going to change it back because i dont care enough but i wanted to inform you because you came on way too aggressively for someone that had done no research

- Butting in to note that SW:MoS states that adding or removing an apostrophe s is one of those things to leave be. So regardless of justification (which I've also never heard of the religious reasoning), it isn't necessary to change. --CanvasK (talk) 17:11, September 20, 2025 (EDT)
The Ruins buttons[edit]
I checked the files and the buttons for the trap doors in The Ruins are coded to increase the open duration by 1.1x. The one in the bonus room is set to 1.02x. Then literally every other button in the game is set to 1.0x (i.e. no change). Regarding the edit summary, they wouldn't need to dig into the code to update it, its all in basic files that wouldn't be any harder to edit than a CSV or JSON file (assuming their files aren't barebones and compressed like we deal with, but even then it would be easy). --CanvasK (talk) 13:45, November 2, 2025 (EST)
- That's interesting. I guess they didn't want to help players too much too quickly so that only those who were REALLY struggling to get the gold box would significantly benefit from the mechanic, since they clearly could have set the value to 1 if they wanted to prevent the mechanic entirely.
