Moonear is a smasher from Minnesota who mains Jigglypuff in Melee. He was most recently ranked 2nd on the University of Minnesota Power Ranking. His twin brother is ABAP, the former manager of Cody Schwab and AbsentPage.
He has taken sets off of players such as AbsentPage, ThePreeminent, Joey Donuts, Lexor, watch, Amanze, Ayataka, and A&B. He was also the TO of the Left Click Lounge, Rated RRR, and Full Moon series.
Playstyle
Compared to most Jigglypuff players, Moonear exhibited a very aggressive playstyle, which consisted of a strong mix of spacing with back aerials, paired with aggressive reads and reactions with Rest. However, his main practice partner coming up in the scene was AbsentPage, which led him to develop a more deeply-layered neutral game, and ultimately, become a more patient player.
Utilizing such a risky playstyle, he had a relatively quick rise on the local Minnesota scene, making it out of pools at Smash 'N' Splash 3 (his 4th ever tournament), and beating Minnesota's #1 ranked AbsentPage just 11 months into his career.
After Smash 'N' Splash 4, he fully retired his Jigglypuff and picked up Fox, Falco, and Marth, citing boredom with Jigglypuff's playstyle at the higher levels of the game. Despite this, he still maintained a strong level of play, defeating multiple Minnesota PR players and Japanese PR players, while having solid bracket runs in multiple Japanese melee tournaments.

- At the time of his win over AbsentPage, Moonear was one of only 6 players in Minnesota to take a set off of him since he ranked #1, and the only player ever outside of the PR to do so. The other players who have done so are Slayer, Dairy, 100 Grand, Lil Homie, and Karma, all of whom were PR when they did so.
- He beat well known commentator, Slime, 3-1 in a Bo5 Money Match at GENESIS 5.
- After his performance at Reimeisai #0, he was unofficially ranked #23 on the 2019 Japan SSBM PR, defeating the following ranked players:
