wouldn't be worth mentioning that the Chocobo Hats for Miis are based on the SpinOFF series starring Chocobo? because they don't look like that on main Final Fantasy games. Thank you. CyberWolfJV (talk) 12:58, 18 November 2015 (EST)

Final Fantasy vs FINAL FANTASY VII[edit]

In-game, its trophy category is explicitly called FINAL FANTASY VII, in all caps (in the PAL version set on Italian, at least). Would this official name enough warrant a move? (I have no personal preference.) --Menshay (talk) 12:29, 16 December 2015 (EST)

Nope, same deal as with Pac-Man content. Both standard capitalizations and all-caps versions are used officially, and we're going to use the less weird-looking one, frankly. Miles (talk) 14:18, 16 December 2015 (EST)
I was more concerned about the FF vs FFVII thing. --Menshay (talk) 17:14, 16 December 2015 (EST)
I think we can afford to fudge the difference, especially given that we also have non-FFVII specific FF content in the game (Chocobo hat). Miles (talk) 17:22, 16 December 2015 (EST)

Image Clarification?[edit]

Does anyone know if we are allowed to post direct screenshots from YouTube videos from, say, our mobile device? I would like to upload a recent picture of Tetsuya Nomura from PSX 2015 that was screenshotted from the keynote.

Controversial opinion[edit]

I Think the other games other than VII should be represented due to square neglecting those game unless its a new game —Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.15.147.53 (talkcontribs) 12:36, January 29, 2021 (EST)

This isn't proper use of talk pages. SmashTurtlesSig1.pngSuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle TribeSmashTurtlesSig2.png 12:38, January 29, 2021 (EST)

Other media[edit]

So I found out that Sonic's Dark costume in all of the games he's appeared in is based on Dark sonic from sonic X an anime as well as Jason grifith debuting as the blue blur from this anime, Uta no Uni comes from a album and a commercial in japan and french respectively pikmin, and that checker Knights comes from Kibry: Right Back At Ya also an anime AgedofallStrings (talk) 18:02, March 28, 2021 (EDT)

And this has to do with Final Fantasy...how? Aidan, the Rurouni 19:44, March 28, 2021 (EDT)

Interwiki linking the Final Fantasy Wiki[edit]

Since we recently added the Kingdom Hearts Wiki to the list of Wikis accessible via interwiki linking in order to give links to Kingdom Hearts content (usually stuff that doesn't have a SmashWiki page, such as Riku, for example), shouldn't we also do the same for the Final Fantasy Wiki, as well (both Wikis are part of the "Square Enix Independent Wiki Alliance", after all)? Outside of the fact that said wiki is not very fleshed out, it's also run by a banned user who is was pretty terrible to this community. I'd rather not dignify them with the traffic. Miles (talk) 01:58, October 9, 2021 (EDT)
I don't think grudges with users are a good excuse. But that wiki is missing a lot of pages like Yuffie Kisaragi, Cait Sith, Cid Highwind, Yuna, Tidus, Wakka, Selphie, Lightning, The Honey Bee Inn, Paine, Wutai, World of Final Fantasy, etc. It's a very incomplete wiki. Would not recommend linking characters to a wiki that does not have them. The Final Fantasy Wiki on FANDOM would be more recommended as it has pages on almost every Final Fantasy character. All the Final Fantasy VII content in Smash Ultimate would have some kind of page over there. SeanWheeler (talk) 15:53, October 9, 2021 (EDT)
I actually had to fix some parts of Cloud's page on that website just because most of the sources are from FF7 manual which were retconned. ThegameandwatchIcon2.png Thegameandwatch Thegameandwatch signature icon.png The Nerd 16:53, October 9, 2021 (EDT)
