Yono is a Smasher from Overland Park, Kansas. He was originally a Roy player in Project M and was considered a strong player in the Michigan scene, ranking on the Michigan Power Rankings for 6 seasons and peaking at 5th in Seasons 9 and 11. During this time, he found some success at larger events, including placing 9th at Frozen Phoenix 2017 and 17th at Smash 'N' Splash 3. However, he found his greatest success in Project+, where he picked up Knuckles and became the best Knuckles player in the world in 2021 and 2022. He was the first Knuckles player to top 8 a major, doing so at Undertow, and remains the only solo-Knuckles player to do so. Alongside other strong performances during this time, including placing top 3 at bothTripoint Smash 128, and Smash Camp 2022, he was ranked 25th on the PMRank 2022. He became less active after 2022, though he has made a few tournament appearances in Project+ and Melee. Nevertheless, his long-term success led him to rank 75th on the Project M/+ All Time Top 100 in 2025.
