From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Ikan is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Ryu player from Northern California who moved to Chicago and studied in France in the summer of 2023. He is considered the best Ryu player in the United States. His breakout tournament was at GENESIS 8, where he defeated ESAM, Cosmos, and Kurama to place 9th, marking one of the best Ryu performances before Asimo's rise. He has found success at a variety of events since, especially in 2023 during his tenure in Europe, where he finished 2nd at Regen 2023 after defeating Luugi, Bloom4Eva, and Tarik, and ranking 105th on the LumiRank 2023. In addition, he is also known for his Losers run at Best of the West IV: Meteor Crash, where he defeated Sparg0 and WaKa.

- Ikan would get 33rd at his first Chicago event, Backthrow 150, losing to Blucas and Mewmon. He has missed top 16 only twice since then.
- For Glitch - Infinite, Ikan was the first player to be fully funded through the compendium.
- Ikan is known for not having a Twitter account; however, every tournament he wins is flooded with "Ikan." from the Chicago community to compensate.
- Ikan is the second Chicago player other than Ned to be ranked #1, the first being ATATA.
- After AndresFn and Vendetta money matched for the title of "best shoto" player in the world at GENESIS 8, Ikan ended up getting 9th in the main event as solo Ryu, placing much higher than both of their 97th's.
