Overview[edit]
Ganondorf rears back before performing an elbow strike, much like Captain Falcon's forward smash. As an archetype of a slow but strong forwards smash, it comes out on frame 21 and has over 30 frames of endlag, yet consistently KOes under 100% from the center of Final Destination. In addition, it also has relatively good range (especially when pivoted) and it has a surprisingly long-lasting hitbox. It is best used as a punishing tool, catching missed grabs from tether users like Zero Suit Samus and Toon Link, as well as punishing misplaced spot dodges and dropped shields due to its long duration. While it can also be used to buffer aerial approaches, this is less consistent due to Ganondorf's low mobility. Despite its sluggishness, it is a notable move in Ganondorf's kit thanks to its power and hitbox duration, leading to usage outside of shield breaks.
