When used, Bowser Jr. jumps out of the Junior Clown Car, which explodes when it hits the ground. When the Car is falling, it will do 5% damage, and upon exploding, will do 13% with moderately high knockback. Bowser Jr. gains a new Junior Clown Car upon hitting the ground or grabbing a ledge.
While in midair after performing this move, Bowser Jr. can either attack by swinging his hammer from behind to in front of him, or perform an air dodge. The hammer deals 15% damage and has KO potential around 115%. If Bowser Jr. is hit with an moderately strong attack he can air dodge to regain the Junior Clown Car. However, if Bowser Jr. gets hit by weaker attacks, this cannot happen, thus allowing able players to easily gimp him.

The hammer Bowser Jr. swings while in the air is similar to the one used by Hammer Bro. enemies. Bowser threw such hammers in Super Mario Bros. and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, but Bowser Jr. was also shown wielding similar hammers in Super Mario Maker and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. In Ultimate, the Koopalings instead use their magic wands that debuted in Super Mario Bros. 3.
