About your username...

Just wondering, why did you pick it? People call me "AirCon" a lot, and I just want to make sure there's no confusion or anything. Air Conditioner Image for Accoolx's signature. Helter skelter! 20:36, 18 November 2012 (EST)

Images

Are you getting these from Dolphin? If so, this is a rather large request, but can you get images of the characters' victory poses? It'd be greatly appreciated. --RoyboyX Talk 21:05, 18 November 2012 (EST)

Yes, they are from dolphin, and yeah, sure, but THAT will take ALOT of time, I'll get them in 640x480 maybe tomorrow or two, because it'll take awhile, but they will get done. --Airconny (talk) 22:09, 18 November 2012 (EST)
There's a full list on here. Thanks, it is a big project. --RoyboyX Talk 22:10, 18 November 2012 (EST)
Oh, grob! Well, I can also do N64 images, too. I'll be sure to do both Melee and S64. But, I don't know about Brawl. --Airconny (talk) 22:11, 18 November 2012 (EST)
I've got SSB64 covered, don't worry about Brawl, I'll find someone to do that. --RoyboyX Talk 22:13, 18 November 2012 (EST)
Oh, thank goodness. Okay, I will get Melee done the easy way. Hopefully my computer doesn't freeze. :P --Airconny (talk) 22:15, 18 November 2012 (EST)

Keep up the good work!

Nice work! Your contributions reflect the kind of awesome work we SmashWikidians like to see!
You uploaded ALL the Melee victory poses! Great job! Air Conditioner Image for Accoolx's signature. Jai guru deva om. 17:46, 20 November 2012 (EST)

Some more image requests

Can you get a collage of the stages of the Flat Kirby glitch, an image of the SLAPASTICK glitch and a gallery of the challenger approaching screens? --RoyboyX Talk 20:34, 20 November 2012 (EST)

Hmm...These will take a while, as certain timing is required. But, (hopefully) it'll get done. Thanks for the request. :) --No Nickname yet. (talk) 21:00, 20 November 2012 (EST)

Your signature must resemble your username. Please see SW:SIGN for further information. Air Conditioner Image for Accoolx's signature. Come together! 21:04, 20 November 2012 (EST)

Okay, I think I fixed it. I really need to read policies more. --Airconny (talk) 21:15, 20 November 2012 (EST)

Are there cheats that let you trigger the matches with unlockable characters? --RoyboyX Talk 21:34, 20 November 2012 (EST)

Hmmm...Dolphin doesn't have any at the moment, but maybe there might be one on Google. Opening up the game is WAY out of my jurisdiction.
EDIT: Nope, there are no codes, and there seems to be no way of opening up Melee on Google. :( --Airconny (talk) 21:37, 20 November 2012 (EST)
I went and did the rest for ya. There are indeed codes to do this: activate the Debug Menu, go to MODE TEAM TEST > KIM > APPROACH, press left and right to pick a char, and you get their screen without a fight. Not exactly easy to find but hey it's done. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Undirigible 23:45, 20 November 2012 (EST)
THANK YOU! I never knew that! Wish I did, but hey, it's done. Thanks a great, man! --Airconny (talk) 13:25, 21 November 2012 (EST)

Rather than upload a new image

Re-upload over an existing image. It is possible to change any png file to jpg, so give the Wiki less things to delete, seeing as how it takes very few seconds to change a file from png to jpg. MegaTron1XDDecepticon.png 09:58, 22 November 2012 (EST)

I would much rather delete a bunch of images than for someone to change native-resolution .pngs to .jpgs. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Spark 10:10, 22 November 2012 (EST)
Yeah, what Toomai said, because usually .jpg have fragments that are noticeable, while .png formats usually have near to none fragments, which I consider that to be a superior format. --Airconny (talk) 15:58, 22 November 2012 (EST)

Note

When you replace an image, it'd be nice if you went to the old image and gave it something like {{d|replaced}} so it calls attention to delete it. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Dispenser 19:20, 22 November 2012 (EST)

Hmm...Yeah, true, as it will go unused. Thanks for informing me. :) --Airconny (talk) 19:22, 22 November 2012 (EST)

Can you get an image of Lugia's attack in Melee? --RoyboyX Talk 19:29, 4 December 2012 (EST)

Whoops, sorry for the late reply. Okay, sure can do. --Airconny (talk) 20:16, 5 December 2012 (EST)
Thx. --RoyboyX Talk 20:28, 5 December 2012 (EST)
No prob, I'm open to requests aren't I? --Airconny (talk) 20:41, 5 December 2012 (EST)

Funny resolution

Looks like the widescreen images you've been uploading lately are an unusual size of 784 by 440. We tend to not like screenshots that are of a higher resolution than the console is capable of rendering; can you please check to confirm you're not artificially increasing your emulated resolution? Toomai Glittershine ??? The Chilled 22:10, 23 February 2013 (EST)

Oh, okay. What's the standard size for a Brawl screenshot? I'm using Dolphin v3.5's own screenshot function, and it immediately sets it to that resolution. Airconny (talk) 22:12, 23 February 2013 (EST)
I believe that it's 640x480 regardless of standard or widescreen, with widescreen shots being saved as distorted and requiring post-capture vertical shrinking for proper proportioning. I don't use widescreen so I'm not certain. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Irrepressible 22:17, 23 February 2013 (EST)
Oh, I thought widescreens for Brawl could be uploaded though in 640x360, as this would be a relatively smaller version for widescreen. --Airconny (talk) 22:22, 23 February 2013 (EST)
Yeah 640x360 feels right, that's about what I think the ratio would be for a 640x480 un-distortion. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Inconceivable 22:24, 23 February 2013 (EST)
Okay, I'll fix a couple of my images to the new size. :) Airconny (talk) 22:26, 23 February 2013 (EST)
Also, if you're going to upload images, try to replace images that are of bad quality, not replace images that are of good quality, but you have a better version of. If they're good quality already, those images are fine, Ac2k 17:14, 24 February 2013 (EST)
Okay, it's just I'm very neat-picky when it comes to images, so I deem those of good quality to be 'bad'. I'll try to stop that from now on. Airconny (talk) 17:51, 24 February 2013 (EST)
It's okay, just try to replace images that are poor enough quality they affect understanding. Category:Low-quality images has images that could use replacing, and Category:Articles in need of images has articles needing additional or higher quality images.Ac2k 20:41, 25 February 2013 (EST)
Okay, I'll drop by those if I can do them. Thanks for informing this to me before it got out of hand... Airconny (talk) 21:02, 25 February 2013 (EST)
You can still replace better quality images, it's just that true low quality images are of more priority. Keep up the good work though! Ac2k 19:19, 27 February 2013 (EST)
Will do. :) And thanks. A little "thanks yous" here and there help me out edit faster (and better). Airconny (talk) 20:32, 27 February 2013 (EST)

(UNDENT) Now that you can get from Brawl, it'd be great if you could snap Porky Minch's slower walking attack. --RoyboyX Talk 18:44, 24 February 2013 (EST)

Okay. But, soon. This stuff doesn't come up easy. lol Airconny (talk) 19:03, 24 February 2013 (EST)
A lot of the Brawl images I've uploaded were taken with Dolphin, so I think they might have an odd resolution as well. Most of them are on here.--PSIWolf a.k.a. Luna! 05:06, 25 February 2013 (EST)
Yeah, I see. It must be due to the size of the emulator? Like the smaller you make it, the smaller the length and height of the image will turn out? That's mst likely yours seems to be different than mine by size. Airconny (talk) 06:10, 25 February 2013 (EST)
I suppose so. I'll just use my Wii the next time I have to take an image of the game.--PSIWolf a.k.a. Luna! 07:32, 25 February 2013 (EST)
Are you sure? I prefer emulators to the Wii (but my preference doesn't matter to you, so do what you think is best.) --Airconny (talk) 16:26, 25 February 2013 (EST)
Well, I just don't know how to properly size my emulator so that the images have a normal resolution. And I don't think the wiki needs more images now you've done such an awesome job :)--PSIWolf a.k.a. Luna! 09:23, 28 February 2013 (EST)
To properly size it, you need to shrink the emulator to the proper size. To figure it out if it's right, I took screenshots, checked the size until I got 640x360. It's as simple as that! And thanks! You also did a good job with your screen caps. Airconny (talk) 20:09, 28 February 2013 (EST)
Thanks for the tip, as well as for the compliment! But I don't think the wiki needs me for screenshots anymore with you around :D--PSIWolf a.k.a. Luna! 06:44, 1 March 2013 (EST)
Don't say that dude. You have to stick around. I may disappear one day and then who will take the screen caps? We need one person as dedicated as you are to help out. :) Airconny (talk) 16:18, 1 March 2013 (EST)
More is always better! Both of you are great contributors here. You are both valuable to us. We still need you PSI. Ac2k 20:48, 1 March 2013 (EST)
Yeah, that's totally correct. Took the words right out of my mouth. Airconny (talk) 08:33, 2 March 2013 (EST)

Using "Show preview" and condensing edits

Hi, Airconny! I'm glad that you're making many edits, but you can condense many of those edits into one edit if you use Show Preview and/or wait to save the page until you finish uploading images for one page. The "Show preview" button is to the right of the "Save page" button. DarkFox01DF01Sig.pngloves Bowser's Castle. 23:42, 2 March 2013 (EST)

Ya, sorry. My GIF animator only allows one .gif to be saved at a time, so this means I have to upload one gif. But, I can just upload all the ones I need, then edit...Sorry, again, though. Airconny (talk) 23:51, 2 March 2013 (EST)

Eh

It seems you are replacing a lot of files, leaving the old ones to be deleted, instead of just uploading a new version without and old file floating around. Just click 'Upload a new version of this file' on the file's page. It must have the same extension though.--PSIWolf a.k.a. Luna! 11:25, 6 March 2013 (EST)

True, I guess I haven't been forgetting to look at some. But most are .jpegs, and I prefer to upload the .png extension, but if it's okay, then I'll convert the images into .jpegs. Sorry about this minor nuisance. Airconny (talk) 16:36, 6 March 2013 (EST)
Ohai, do you suppose you could get a new version of :File:Wolvereach2.JPG, since you got new versions of other moveset swap pics? --RoyboyX Talk 00:18, 13 March 2013 (EDT)
Well, okay. I tried to get a new version of it awhile back, but I get numerous game freezes so it may take a while. UPDATE: Finished.Airconny (talk) 16:22, 13 March 2013 (EDT)

Meteor Smash images

When making meteor smash images, do you think you could take pictures of them when characters are knocked back at high percents? That would better illustrate the concept of meteor smashes. Awesome Cardinal 2000 19:56, 19 March 2013 (EDT)

Ya, that was what I was originally trying to depict, but usually I caught the frame they get hit at. I'll make sure to get that one in mind, I have like 2 other projects to do. Airconny (talk) 20:23, 19 March 2013 (EDT)

Using gifs

Hello, sorry to bother you again. But do you think you could upload gifs of some of the idle poses instead of pngs? For example, you can barely tell what DK is doing in Melee. In the future, you should try to decide whether a png can clearly explain something, and think about using more gifs. That would be great. Awesome Cardinal 2000 23:18, 26 March 2013 (EDT)

Oh, okay. I will make sure the .pngs ones will be replaced. The noticeable .pngs will be left. And don't worry, asking me to do something is not at all a problem. I am free to suggestions and improvements any time. Airconny (talk) 16:47, 27 March 2013 (EDT)

Great Maze

Can you get a pic of False Snake in the Great Maze? --RoyboyX Talk 17:18, 14 April 2013 (EDT)

Kind of unsure about that. My save file for the SSE became corrupt on Dolphin, and my Wii is having some trouble extracting the save file onto it. Also, I'm caught up on many projects right now (such as importing other BRRES files onto Brawl models, ripping Melee and Brawl models, and I am looking into filming using these models I have extracted), so I am kind of in a rut right now. :(
Hopefully, someone else could look into this. Airconny Airconny Snake Sig.png 17:32, 14 April 2013 (EDT)

Crowd

The article talk page was getting too long, and I just wanted to say thanks for uploading the remaining Brawl cheers, as well as adding the extra column for the Japanese cheers, the article looks heaps better! Also, the character icons just keep the tables from looking boring. It's nothing special, but thanks for the advice :) SSBToad (talk) 04:39, 1 June 2013 (EDT)

It's perfectly okay for a conversation to grow that long. Awesome Cardinal 2000 08:30, 1 June 2013 (EDT)
Erhm, thank you. Personally, this isn't all hard to get done than I originally thought, so I'm perfectly fine with doing Brawl's, and hopefully Melee's. You should also help out, too (counterpointing my previous "I'll do it" statement") and just get most of the ones you can get your hands on (whatever one, SSB64 or Melee.)
And you also fixed the coding for the Japanese section, but I originally intended for it to stay like that until I finished all of the NTSC/PAL versions, but your way solved it. The page looks more lively, too. That makes me jubilant, I tell you. -- Conny Airconny Snake Sig.png 09:15, 1 June 2013 (EDT)
Jubilance aside, I'd honestly like to help, but I don't have Dolphin, Fraps, or any other kind of emulator and obtaining audio isn't my strong-point. Sorry about that -_-.
