Quotes

Okay, so I put in a few different quotes on my page but the only quote that ever shows up for me is the Rick Astley one. Is this the case for everyone or is it just me? Did I do something wrong? If so, please tell me what it is. ChuckNorrisFor usage in ChuckNorris24's signature. 20:33, 31 August 2012 (EDT)

The option/choice structure tries to avoid recalculating itself, so even hard refreshes might not result in change. It should be different for infrequent visits and different people though. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Inconceivable 20:43, 31 August 2012 (EDT)

If you accept, go on IRC. Scr7Wolfsig.png 09:15, 29 July 2013 (EDT)

My apologies, but, my Wii is not currently hooked up to the internet. However, I really want to fight you. I'll try to get it hooked up this week and when it is ready, I'll tell you. Does that sound OK? ChuckNorrisFor usage in ChuckNorris24's signature. 10:03, 29 July 2013 (EDT)
Yeah ok. Scr7Wolfsig.png 10:55, 29 July 2013 (EDT)
Just so you know, I won't be able to brawl right now. You will have to wait a week if you want to fight me. Scr7Wolfsig.png 14:47, 14 August 2013 (EDT)

Sure. I'll hop on the IRC. ChuckNorrisFor usage in ChuckNorris24's signature. 16:27, 6 September 2013 (EDT)

Now hang on a moment

The {{Infobox Character General}} template is supposed to be used only for pages about playable characters that describe their non-Smash Bros. biography. You shouldn't be using it to replace things like {{AssistTrophy}}. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Incomprehensible 17:07, 15 August 2013 (EDT)

Toad has that template for some reason. I probably should have asked before I started. I just think that the assist trophy template looks very tacky. ChuckNorrisFor usage in ChuckNorris24's signature. 17:10, 15 August 2013 (EDT)
No dude, you can't just say "Toomai didn't respond" Finish the discussion before changing it back. DoctorPain99 15:58, 16 August 2013 (EDT)
How does the AT template look "tacky", and how does converting to a less specific template with more irrelevant boxes help? Toomai Glittershine ??? The Cloronic 16:59, 16 August 2013 (EDT)
The ICG template is more complete and it is much more specific than the AT template. The AT template has barely any information and it just looks unprofessional. And if the boxes are "irrelevant", why do playable characters get them? I think they are nice little bits of information. ChuckNorrisFor usage in ChuckNorris24's signature. 09:55, 17 August 2013 (EDT)
General character pages are about the character and only the character, so physical and biographical information is okay; such would be irrelevant on pages about the same characters in the Smash Bros. games (compare Mario with Mario (SSBB)). Assist Trophy pages are primarily about the AT's gameplay effect and secondarily about them as a character, so in my opinion adding physical/bigraphical stuff in their infobox is unnecessary and cluttery.
Regardless of this, Assist Trophies should use their own infobox, as they're a distinct gameplay element. If you want to add physical/biographical stuff to that infobox, argue for it on that template's talk page. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Undirigible 11:03, 17 August 2013 (EDT)

Stage "locations"

Are you clear on the fact that for Brawl's stages, we're intending to use the game title that's pictured above the stage name on the stage select screen? There are some times where it's not what you changed it to, such as New Pork City being listed in Brawl as from "EarthBound" in the NA release (as opposed to the more accurate "Mother 3"). Could you please check your recent edits to this effect and make sure they match the stage select screen properly? Thanks. Miles (talk) 22:50, 6 June 2014 (EDT)

Ah, I see. I'll do that right now. Sorry for the problem. ChuckNorrisFor usage in ChuckNorris24's signature. 11:28, 9 June 2014 (EDT)

Image quality

If you're concerned about the images you find being in .jpg, you could save the picture to your pc as .png to try to salvage whatever quality is left, and prevent it from looking worse when uploading it to the Wiki as .jpg again. That's what I usually do. Unknown the Hedgehog 15:04, 25 June 2014 (EDT)

Thanks for the info. I'll try to do that after I finish checking the other Assist Trophy pages. ChuckNorrisFor usage in ChuckNorris24's signature. 15:10, 25 June 2014 (EDT)
No problem. It does take a little longer, but I believe it's worth it in the end. Unknown the Hedgehog 15:16, 25 June 2014 (EDT)

Just curious

"If he wants it as a personal image, let him have it"

I'm sorry, but how am I supposed to know? Just curious, especially since it was uploaded at around the same time that the user made some bad faith edits. Berrenta (talk) 20:24, 4 September 2014 (EDT)

For now, I'll go ahead and leave that image alone until you respond. I'll still keep an eye on it, though, to make sure it's not improperly used. Berrenta (talk) 21:21, 4 September 2014 (EDT)
Most of the time if a user uploads a non-Smash related image, it is for their own personal use. Also, GrayGray's edits were only recently bad. The other half of his edits were, oddly enough, very useful. I'm not sure how the image could be "improperly used", but it should be fine. I see no reason to delete it. ChuckNorrisFor usage in ChuckNorris24's signature. 21:27, 4 September 2014 (EDT)
Yeah, it's pretty rare for a good-faith user to suddenly become a bad-faith one in a blink of an eye. Will go ahead and leave it as is, then, as I mentioned. Berrenta (talk) 21:37, 4 September 2014 (EDT)
It could've been the user was hacked. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) is made in America 22:47, 4 September 2014 (EDT)
Yeah, that's a possibility. If so, hopefully the real user can reclaim his account. We may need to ask a sysop to determine that. Berrenta (talk) 22:55, 4 September 2014 (EDT)

'ey

The image "MiiFighterIcon(SSB4-U).png" is going to be deleted. Please replace it with the newer variants beforehand, or I'll do it myself by simply removing it. XL 11:56, 23 November 2014 (EST)

About Your Recent Edits

I'm about to undo all of your edits relating to the "most recent appearance" for the Mario characters, all of which have the same reason.

Pulling up NSMB2's DLC shows nothing about a 2014 DLC release, nor does it show an "out of date" notification implying that there is something that isn't on the page that needs to be. I figured it would be more appropriate to tell you here than have to say it over and over again. Good day. Per Request, for User:Aidanzapunk.Aidan the Aura Master 17:31, 2 February 2015 (EST)

Nintendo released a special edition NSMB2 3DS XL on Black Friday, which contained a special edition of NSMB2 with all the DLC pre-installed. It was called New Super Mario Bros. 2: Gold Edition. Do some research for yourself before you start mindlessly reverting. ChuckNorrisFor usage in ChuckNorris24's signature.  17:35, 2 February 2015 (EST)
  1. Even so, Treasure Tracker was released after Black Friday.
  2. Regardless, all the DLC was released in 2012, not 2014.
Also, the original Mario Bros. arcade game came out in 1983, not the G&W game.
I would not like to have an edit war over this (because this rule exists). Per Request, for User:Aidanzapunk.Aidan the Aura Master 17:38, 2 February 2015 (EST)

Clarification: Releases of games to retail or the eShop (barring Virtual Console) count as "releases". That's it. Unless there was anything "new" about the NSMB2 with DLC that was pre-installed, it's not a new release. Miles (talk) 17:41, 2 February 2015 (EST)

Treasure Tracker came out on November 13. And, oddly enough, the Mario Bros. for Game & Watch came out a few months before the arcade version did.
Also, Miles, NSMB2:GE is a deluxe version of the game (Sorta like those GOTY-edition games). There's no reason it wouldn't count as a new game. [1] ChuckNorrisFor usage in ChuckNorris24's signature.  17:52, 2 February 2015 (EST)
