About the trivia section regarding meteor smashes

"Sora and Mythra are the only DLC characters in Ultimate who lack a meteor smash. If counting Pyra's moveset, Sora is the only DLC character, as well as Ultimate newcomer in general, to completely lack a meteor smash in any capacity." What parameter was used to determine this? Does this refer to a total lack of downward-sending hitboxes, even the ones that connect to a final hit that does NOT spike (e.g. Bowser Jr.'s dair)? If not, then there are a bunch of characters that could be added. If, instead, that's the criteria, then we're missing Young Link (and potentially others maybe, but he's the one that popped in my mind)

voice

is it too early to be putting in information for sora's voice? it does sound quite similar to the older clips but how do we know for sure if its' recycled audio. Kareemddream (talk) 12:25, October 5, 2021

As someone who grew up with this franchise i think its safe to say they're likely using his Re:Chain of Memories voice clips. Not as young sounding as he was in KH1, but still younger sounding than he was in KH2. Remember he was an adult trying to do a kids voice in KH3D, and after that hes been using a deeper register for Sora as a teen since. It's clearly reused voice clips, but we just don't know from which game.

Sora GIFs

When I record the GIFs for Sora's specials, Final Smash, taunts, etc. should I do it on default Hollow Bastion or the Dive to the Heart version? I'd argue the latter because there'd be less going on so it is easier to see, and would also reduce file size. --CanvasK (talk) 22:46, October 18, 2021 (EDT)

Classic Mode Rounds 5 and 7

While I think that it's cool that giant Ganondorf represents Xehanort, what I really think is going on here is that he is standing in for either Darkside or Chernabog, with Find Mii standing in for either Destiny Island's Storm-tossed Island area or an area in the End of the World, likely Homecoming/Crumbling Island or Bald Mountain. The only thing stopping me from saying that it's Chernabog is the fact that is that if it were the case, then they would have used Kazuya to represent the "Ultimate Disney Villain" (to quote Ridley Pearson) due to his Devil form, as well as the use of a more symphonic track to reference the original Mussorgsky composition. Darkside has a bit more going towards it due to Ganondorf favoring more hand-to-hand attacks in the fight, much like Darkside in the game, coupled with the track playing.

Now while saying that the fight with the Hands is a stand in for Ansem is correct, to me that's only one half of the equation as it also seems like Crazy Hand is Ansem while Master Hand is Xemnas. This is due to the fact that Ansem's final form in the original is the World of Chaos, which can easily be reflected in the chaotic behavior in Crazy Hand, much like the Heartless being the hearts of people swallowed by darkness and acting on instinct. Master Hand's more calm movements seem to bring to mind Xemnas as Nobodies act in a more orderly fashion, as they being the bodies of those that became Heartless have access to the brain and are able to act upon intellect. Xemnas himself is also a more calm individual than Ansem due to him having access to Terra's mind, compared to Ansem being Xehanort's heart pulling the strings. --Tailikku (talk) 08:33, October 19, 2021 (EDT)

To me, I feel like Ganondorf representing Xehanort is mostly because they're both evil old(-ish) men associated with darkness and nothing more. Even if it were supposed to represent Chernabog, they likely would not have chosen Kazuya regardless since DLC characters can only appear in their own Classic Mode routes and no one else's. Damage numbers

Why are Sora's moves' damage percents so WEIRD? like, not multiples of 0.5. Same applies to all those other characters, I'm looking at you Dr. Mario

Most Historically Significant Players

Sora has been out for over a month so a “in competitive play” section should be fine, but not “most historically significant.” Albeit, there isn’t much to add right now as early metagame results and opinions get outdated real quickly. I think you may be taking this too seriously. Cookies and Creme put "unfair" in quotes because they were quoting you, not to make it patronizing or to make it seem fake. As C&C said, the meta is still being developed (may not help with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl distracting some players) and if someone were to make an "in competitive play" section, it'd probably need to be rewritten in a month. --CanvasK (talk) 18:10, November 28, 2021 (EST)

Around 7 months has passed since this conversation and 8 months since Sora's release. I feel as if it is perhaps time to add a singular representative due to his consistency being kameme.He has reached top 8 at several majors with mostly or comaining Sora since his release including 5th at Kagaribi 6, Maesuma TOP7, and Maesuma TOP8. His regional results are alright but lack data due to attendance, but his majors give him the argument to be placed already. He is already considered the best Sora in the world by most Swidd (talk) 12:22, June 25, 2022 (EDT)
