BS 3DS Leak

http://ssb4dojo.com/post/95233999086/rumor-mill-4chan-20 (Look through the comments for the 4chan link with more pics, since 4chan is blacklisted here, I can't link to them) Should this be added here? It's pretty fake looking, but it's pretty widespread right now. (Heck, Toomai upped the wiki level for it) For those who aren't aware, it's fake due to the names aren't listed under the characters which, as we've seen, is present in the 3DS version, in addition Bowser Jr.'s and Dr.Mario's artworks seem to be photoshopped versions of other artwork. There are other, more subtle nitpicky things, but I won't waste time listing them here. Laikue (talk) 01:21, 20 August 2014 (EDT)

This doesn't look like a very credible leak. You chose the right title. The order sucks, it's ordered by universe except there's a Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, and Lucina are on the other side of their place. Ness' pic is the same one from his debunked leak. This wasn't thought through very well. Qwerty (talk) 01:39, 20 August 2014 (EDT)
Don't forget Shulk's face being a shop of Little Mac's. The most telling thing to me, though is that one of the screenshots (not on Laikue's link but that I've seen with these on other sites) shows the player's tag as "ESRB______" something or another, implying it's an ESRB reviewer. Which is quick proof it's fake since they review video footage, not copies of the game itself. Miles (talk) 01:52, 20 August 2014 (EDT)
Let's not forget the Duck Hunt Dog, probably the most random pick of all the unannounced characters. I'm not sure how the Duck Hunt Dog can work as a fighter.
Anyways, was looking at the comments. One comment mentioned what could further harm the credibility: how the leaker handled criticism about his post about DLC. Let's just say he refused to accept those criticisms and responded to them in a profane manner... Berrenta (talk) 08:20, 20 August 2014 (EDT)
Credible or not, it's gaining speed very quickly, and deserves a place on this article. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatum 10:42, 20 August 2014 (EDT)
It was posted 15 hours ago, and yeah it's pretty much debunked. I don't see how it could be notable. Qwerty (talk) 12:08, 20 August 2014 (EDT)
Each rendered character artwork is unique. The leaker showed more than just the character selection screen; he showed other images as well. Shulk is not the same render as Little Mac. And all of this information complies with the information from the Ninka/Vaanrose Leak. The image of Bowser Jr. is an orgiinal render, with a unique angle of his face and the fact that he is in the Koopa Clown Cart. Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, and Lucina are all together because they all came into being through the same method: they started out as alternate skins, but Sakurai decided to do more original things with their models. There has never been a render of the Dukc Hunt Dog quite like the one they've shown. To be honest, very little has come as concrete evidence that this is false.--Nintendo101 (talk) 14:48, 20 August 2014 (EDT)
Would Sakurai separate Lucina, Dark Pit, and Dr. Mario from the other representatives of their respective franchises, like the leaker did? Sakurai has never done that, and I don't think he will. It's basically common sense in play. Another thing that debunks the leak is how the stage select is shown. It has the past stages mixed in with the new ones, which makes it look like a mess. In Melee and Brawl, past stages have their own separate area, and Smash 4 will certainly follow that trend. You might want to look at the image more closely. Berrenta (talk) 15:13, 20 August 2014 (EDT)
I would like to also note that using "unique" images for characters is not a new concept for hoaxers. Plus, due to the blurriness of the image, the hoaxer can cut corners in making renders of characters.
--- Monsieur Crow, Author Extraordinaire, 17:36, 20 August 2014 (EDT)
Ness's "artwork" for Smash 4 is also unique, so the "unique images" part is somewhat believable. Other details would need to be be noted, which has been discussed earlier by many of us, to debunk the rumors. As for this leak's notability, I'm uncertain at the moment. Berrenta (talk) 17:54, 20 August 2014 (EDT)

Look, can't we all just agree that it's so fake that it shouldn't be mentioned on this page? Aidan the Average Gamer (talk) 18:48, 20 August 2014 (EDT)

I feel it's fake as well. The disorganization that I pointed out earlier is one thing. Another thing that can render this as fake that I wasn't aware of until Gamexplain pointed it out was that there was something off on Wario's model, most specifically his left eye. I doubt the developers would overlook that. As for not mentioning it due to being fake, there are some rumors that are still on this page that are obvious fakes, yet they were widespread, so they are still listed. Berrenta (talk) 21:49, 20 August 2014 (EDT)
It's been 1 and a half days, so widespread isn't correct. Finish this up quickly, I need to archive this twice. Qwerty (talk) 22:05, 20 August 2014 (EDT)

I've heard that the Duck Hunt Dog's render was found somewhere else. And I've also noticed how the character portraits background has no fire in it. Cherrim98Cherrim Box Sprite.pngTalk 01:28, 23 August 2014 (EDT)

I think it deserves a spot. It's been covered on multiple sites, and the sides in favor of it being real, like how the UI totally matches that of the E3 demo, or the fact that Jr., the Dog, and Doc's art can't be traced back to any source despite all the claims of "photoshop", or that the screens include a visual glitch that was present in the E3 demo but no one noticed until after the leak, or even how the Tomodachi stage preview in the stage select features an apartment not seen in any media until the Famitsu scans that came out AFTER the pics started circulating. They've also made a lot of arguments explaining as much, as well as counterarguments to those pointing out inconsistencies, such as how Wario's pupil is obscured by his nose, how the names could be removed after a certain point to save space on the CSS, or how this very well could be from the ESRB since there's no gap between the screens, implying this comes from video footage and not a physical copy.)
Furthermore, the claim that "this is how it's always been done in other games" isn't exactly evidence to the counter. Those are separate titles, and nothing IN EXISTING SMASH 4 MEDIA has given any indication that stages will be separated. It's like how, had Sakurai not revealed the removal of transformations back in April, you'd be arguing that it's fake because Sheik and ZSS have their own slots despite not having them in the other games. And it's fake because you "don't know how they could make a character work"? REALLY? This is a series that made movesets for Fox, Captain Falcon, Ice Climbers, and R.O.B. when they had NOTHING to work with. That's not an excuse.
Regardless, it's circulated a LOT over the last few days, and despite all the debate, there is still no definitive proof of whether it is true or false. Definitely needs to at least be listed. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 19:25, 23 August 2014 (EDT)
It should be mentioned on the Wiki, but not to the extent that it's being talked about on the current list of rumors. It's ridiculously lengthy at the moment, but if it can be expanded on even more than it already is, a page for it could just be made to list all of those details. MegaTron1XDDecepticon.png 12:23, 24 August 2014 (EDT)
Oh, I agree that it's ridiculously lengthy as is, but that's the problem: There's so much conflicting information, evidence on both sides of the debate, and general detail to the leak itself that there's really not much room to trim. It's not like the other rumors where it's just one character or a text list, where you can just list the bare bones content of the leak followed by the way in which it was debunked; this is still ongoing with new observations and developments happening on a pretty regular basis. Unless you give it its own page, dump all the known information there, and replace the text on this one with the ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM, there's not much we can do in terms of compressing it down. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 01:24, 25 August 2014 (EDT)

Error on the Unknown Renders/NinkaVaanrose leak

It states that the Famitsu issue with the Tomodachi Life screenshot was released a day prior to the leak. This is false. The magazine was actually a day after the leak. -- —Preceding unsigned comment added by Burb (talkcontribs) 08:01, August 24, 2014‎ (CDT)

video

I found a video supposedly showing the 3DS version team victory screen with Shulk in red team (it also shows Ganondorf in blue team) for a split second then directly skips to Home-Run contest with Yoshi. I highly doubt it's real (hint: ESRB0083), but anyway: [1] --93.41.167.171 10:41, 25 August 2014 (EDT)

Gameplay videos

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsKwxhG3ioc6FDKupmlVHZQ/videos Should these be added? Meyguhmein - talk - *FURIOUSLY FANBOYS OVER MEGAMAN* 11:01, 25 August 2014 (EDT)

Well some places have exploded because of these leaks. What do we do about them? Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 11:37, 25 August 2014 (EDT)

As much as I personally don't want to believe in leaks, there's too much gameplay video here to be faked, and it satisfies the first bullet point in SW:NEWGAME. However, I think we should strictly limit what we discuss to what is seen in the video, despite it matching the screenshots leaked as well. This would mean making the following pages: Bowser Jr., Bowser Jr. (SSB4), Shulk, Shulk (SSB4), Xenoblade (universe). (Xenoblade not Xeno since the video shows Shulk's icon is the Monado, not an X as widely theorized.) Miles (talk) 13:59, 25 August 2014 (EDT)

Oh, and also Ganondorf (SSB4). Miles (talk) 14:02, 25 August 2014 (EDT)

Welp, all of these videos just got deleted due to a copyright claim by Nintendo of America... Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 15:43, 25 August 2014 (EDT)

That seems to hint something... But we better get to work on these pages ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching...

Need to discuss it, yes?

I support- it's about the same size as the Gematsu leaks, isn't it? ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching...
