Meta Knight's down special move in SSBB is Dimensional Cape.

Overview
This move is known as the Dimensional Cape. It involves Meta Knight disappearing into his cape and reappearing a ways further in any direction, depending on which direction the Control Stick is held. If the attack button is held when he reappears, he will slash the opponent with moderate knockback. Despite Meta Knight disappearing, his hitboxes stay intact throughout the attack. This move sees no use in competitive play as an attack, however, it can be used as a mindgame by not holding a direction on the control stick during the move. Its main use is as a recovery after all five jumps are used; even though it does not gain much distance, it is much faster and unpredictable than Shuttle Loop. Adding on, an enemy who tries to edgeguard Meta Knight as he tries to recover may be caught off guard by the slash portion of the move.
