ExtremeSpeed
ExtremeSpeed in Brawl.
User Lucario
Universe Pokémon

ExtremeSpeed is Lucario's up special move. When used, Lucario stops for a brief moment, and then it rushes in the direction chosen. It is possible to change directions during the dash (where Lucario will appear to "bend" through the air), as well as being able to wall cling if it comes in contact with a wall, making it a very useful recovery move. However, ExtremeSpeed deals no damage, and as such, should only be used for either escaping attacks or recovery. Lucario has low knockback while using this move, and it has a large sweet spot, making ledge-grabbing easier. This enables Lucario to have a very good recovery move. Lucario's recovery is greater if there is a wall to cling to.

If tap jump is disabled and the player performs ExtremeSpeed ending on the ground, Lucario will be unable to perform it again until it jumps.

ExtremeSpeed can be also be used to quickly grab the edge to edge-guard a player attempting to grab it. If the player uses the move, but holds down as the direction, Lucario zooms across the floor to the right. By going over the lip of the ledge, still holding down, Lucario will almost instantly grab the ledge. If the player wants to go left, it's a little harder, since left-and-down must pressed diagonally. This is called ExtremeHogging.

In Slow Brawl, it is possible to double bend to avoid airborne opponents by bending left, then up, then right, or vice versa.

Extreme Speed in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

In the Pokémon games, ExtremeSpeed was introduced in Generation II as a more powerful version of Quick Attack Prior to Generation III, it was the signature move of Arcanine. It is only learned by certain legendary Pokémon and by Lucario, Togekiss, Arcanine, Dratini, and a special event Zigzagoon. It cannot be learned via TM. It is a Normal-type move with 80 base power, 100% accuracy, and a +1 priority in Generation II-IV and a +2 priority in Generation V, meaning it will usually go first, regardless of the user's Speed. In return for being exceptionally fast, this attack only has 5 PP, so ExtremeSpeed can only be used 5 times before running out of power.
