This article is about the class of event match. For the mode, see All-Star Mode.

An All-Star event is a single event match involving a series of fights against a variety of characters.

In Melee

Five matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee are All-Star matches that pit the player against 4-5 different characters (up to six on the last one), one right after the other, under loose thematic groupings. Each character is faced on a different related stage, so every time one is defeated, the player is automatically taken to the next stage, keeping their damage percentage as they go.

All All-Star Matches last four minutes and give the player two lives. High scores are tracked by how long it took the player to defeat all characters.

Events

In Brawl

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, these matches reappear under the name "All-Star Battle". Unlike Melee's All-Star Matches, the opponents faced are grouped by their first playable appearance in the Super Smash Bros. games and are battled on one stage. The player has to battle two opponents, and there will be a short delay for another one to appear. These matches do not have a limited amount of time for the player to complete them.

Events

In SSB4

All-Star battles in the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. 4 are identical to their Brawl counterparts. This time, items do not appear, opponents cannot be Star KO'd or Screen KO'd, non Super Smash Bros. universe stages are featured in their Ω forms, opponents appear to have greater knockback, and the first two opponents will immediately appear at the start.
