The first warp in Agility causes 1 point of damage to Pichu, and the second causes 3, so try to limit the number of times you use the move.
—Pichu's trophy description in Melee

Agility (こうそくいどう High-speed Movement) is Pichu's up special move. When performed, Pichu will make a quick teleport-like action in any direction. Inputting another direction during this first teleport allows Pichu to immediately perform a second teleport upon finishing the first. Unlike Pikachu's Quick Attack, the move does not deal any damage. Pichu will also be dealt 1% damage for the first jump, and another 3% if it uses the second one.

Other uses

Pichu's up special has 1 frame of lag if the player hits the ground correctly, making it the most lagless move in Melee, but if the player messes up, he or she will have 14 frames of lag. The player can quickly jump and use the up special and then input another attack. For reference, look here or here for more details and tricks.

Origin

Agility in Generation IV Pokémon games.

In the Pokémon games, Agility is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation I. It increases a Pokémon's Speed by 2 stages, and can be stacked up to 3 times (from double to triple and finally quadruple its original value) so the maximum number of increase stages is six. Competitive battlers usually work their Pokémon's speed so that after one Agility, the user is faster than most other Pokémon, ensuring that they go first. Despite not being an electric move, Pichu still takes damage when using it in Melee.

  • In the Pokémon games, Pichu cannot legitimately learn Agility (it is, however, learned by its first-stage evolution Pikachu). This trait is shared with Skull Bash.

Trivia

  • Agility and Teleport are the only attacks in Melee to have no direct effect on opponents.
