Zero Suit Samus

Zero Suit Samus (Often abbreviated as ZSS or Zamus) is a character appearing in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Samus will discard her armor to become Zero Suit Samus. She appears to use a laser gun/whip as a weapon. According to a post from Masahiro Sakurai on Smash Bros. Dojo, Samus will remove her suit and turn into Zero Suit Samus under "certain conditions." According to the new update of Smash Bros. Dojo, it has been confirmed that Samus will turn into Zero Suit Samus once Samus perform her Final Smash. The pieces of her Chozo Armor that heve been removed due to the Final smash can be used a throwing items. He also notes that Zero Suit Samus lacks power and stamina compared to Samus, but is faster.

Based on the most recently released trailer for SSBB, Zero Suit Samus will be most comparable to Sheik. She appears to be able to jump much higher in relation to Sheik, however. Her dash attack in the trailer appeared to be comparable to Fox's in SSBM. It was also seen that Zero Suit Samus will be able to change from whip to laser gun at will.

Samus' Final Smash attack results in her Power Suit being removed, transforming her into Zero Suit Samus. It is unknown whether this transformation can take place without performing Samus' Final Smash, or whether Zero Suit Samus is able to transform back into normal Samus.

Special Moves

As of now, none of Zero Suit Samus's moves have been officially unveiled, aside from glimpses in the second trailer and screenshots on Smash Bros. Dojo.
