Aside from singles and doubles play, Melee featured a side event where the three highest ranked Smashers in attendance, Leffen, Armada, and Hungrybox, were each given a team of three other players who would be fighting on their team in a round robin format. The crew battle concluded with Hungrybox's team finishing first, Leffen's team finishing second, and Armada's team finishing third.
