Hitbox visualization showing Peach's forward tilt.

Overview[edit]

Peach kicks forward 180 degrees from low to high.

This attack has good range for a forward tilt, covering a large space in front of Peach. It is also capable of attacking opponents directly above Peach. The move has a fair amount of disjoint, giving it deceptively large reach beyond the arc where Peach is kicking. Peach's forward tilt consists of three stages: an early hit, a clean hit, and a late hit.

The early hit consists of two hitboxes located on her thigh and shin. Both hitboxes deal 7% damage and launch opponents vertically. The thigh hitbox launches opponents at an 88° angle, while the shin hitbox launches opponents at an 80° angle.

The clean hit consists of the previous hitboxes from the early hit and a new hitbox located on Peach's foot. This new hitbox deals 8% damage and launches at a 75° angle. It deals the most damage and knockback out of all the hitboxes in Peach's forward tilt. This hitbox is the largest one in the clean hit and its center is positioned at the very tip of Peach's foot, granting a notable disjoint to her forward tilt.

The late hit removes the thigh and shin hitboxes from the early/clean hit, only consisting of the foot hitbox. The late hit deals 6% damage and launches at a 92° angle. While smaller than the clean hit, the late hitbox still has a moderate disjoint and lingers for several frames.

Peach's forward tilt is her most reliable follow up attack from her down throw at very low percentages. Its speed and range also allows it to be used as a follow up after landing her down tilt, neutral aerial, or back aerial at low percentages.

Peach's forward tilt cannot reliably start combos against most characters, as it has too much ending lag to allow for follow up attacks outside of fast fallers. Against fast fallers at low-mid percentages, it is possible to combo into Peach's up tilt from the early hit. At mid percentages, she can combo into her up special from the early hit. Against all other characters, Peach's forward tilt can only set up juggles.

While Peach's forward tilt can KO at high percentages, the KO percentages can vary greatly depending on the hitbox that connected with her opponent. On Final Destination without any rage, the clean foot hitbox will KO Jigglypuff starting roughly at 124% with no DI and at 155% with good DI. Bowser will be KO'd starting roughly at 175% with no DI and at 220% with good DI. In comparison, the early thigh hitbox will KO Jigglypuff starting roughly at 141% and KO Bowser starting roughly at 198%.

Trivia[edit]

Peach's forward tilt hitting R.O.B. standing on the middle platform of Battlefield. A standing R.O.B. is the most consistent way to achieve this.
  • The late hitbox can just barely reach the middle platforms of Battlefield. Hitting an opponent on the middle platform heavily relies on where their hurtboxes are placed on the platform.
  • While Peach possess several other kicking attacks like her down aerial and pummel, the clean foot hitbox for Peach's forward tilt is the only hitbox that uses the slash effect out of all her kicking attacks.
