Overview[edit]

Peach jumps upward and then opens her parasol, jabbing those above her in the process. It can then be used as a directional glide but can also be opened or closed at will.

The jump attack consists of an initial launcher, several multihits, and a final launcher. The initial launcher deals 3% damage and has a hitbox located directly in front of Peach and a hitbox on her head. All hitboxes of the launcher have extremely powerful, fixed knockback that is designed to combo into the multihit portion of the attack. However, if Peach has accumulated enough rage, then the initial launcher can deal enough knockback to KO opponents at 0%. Notably, she can combo into her up special from her down aerial for a zero-to-death combo. The multihits deal 1% per hit and can hit up to 4 times. The early multihits have hitboxes on the parasol and a hitbox directly in front of Peach. The late multihits remove the hitbox in front of Peach, leaving only the parasol hitboxes. The final launcher deals 4% and strong vertical knockback. Near the upper blast zone, it can KO early due to its strong base knockback.

After the jump, Peach will open her parasol and begin to descend slowly. While her parasol is open, it has a hitbox that deals 3% damage and unusually strong vertical knockback. The knockback is strong enough to KO at very high percentages.

As a recovery move, the initial jump covers a fair amount of vertical distance. She can snap to the ledge starting from frame 16, but only if Peach is facing the ledge. The slow descent with the open parasol can travel very far horizontal distances. Peach's horizontal drift can be precisely controlled and she is capable of changing directions very quickly. She can also close her parasol with a down input, which puts her into a helpless animation. However, if Peach entered the helpless animation by inputting down, then she can re-open her parasol with an up input.

Two important details to note when recovering with Peach's up special:

  1. Peach will automatically close her parasol after 480 frames, or 8 seconds. Manually closing and re-opening her parasol will not refresh the 480 frame time limit. After reaching the time limit, Peach will no longer be able to re-open her parasol.
  2. Peach cannot grab the ledge if she is facing away from it. If she is facing away from the ledge, then she must manually close her parasol and enter the helpless animation in order to grab the ledge.
