Take a big bite of garlic and transform. He still uses normal attacks in this form but all are dramatically powered up. Stay airborn by using midair attacks.
Brawl's instruction manual

Wario-Man (ワリオマン, Warioman) is Wario's Final Smash. It involves him turning into his costumed alter-ego from WarioWare: Twisted! and WarioWare: Touched! by eating bad garlic.

When Wario uses this move, he takes a bite of garlic and turns into Wario-Man while laughing. The transformation is somewhat similar to Bowser's. During the final smash, all of his moves are upgraded greatly, being extremely fast and strong and have decreased ending lag. All of his throws are able to KO opponents above 70%. He moves a lot faster, deals more damage and knockback, and is virtually invincible, though he can still be harmed by eating bombs and taking hoop damage, along with being affected by Super Mushrooms and Poison Mushrooms, but not Metal Boxes. All of Wario-Man's aerial attacks except his down aerial cause him to gain altitude without entering helpless mode, giving him unlimited recovery. This also means that Wario-Man can easily perform both Hyrule Jumps. However, since his aerials make him gain altitude in a set path, an effective wall of pain is not possible. All of his aerials can be strung together for a rather ridiculous-looking upward movement.

Wario Waft charges faster, and a fully charged Wario Waft is a one-hit KO as Wario-Man, though the half charge one is unaffected. His bike becomes so fast that it can outrun the cars in Big Blue, and must be jumped off almost immediately to avoid self destructing on smaller stages.

It is interesting to note that Wario-Man's moves that normally can only be used once can be used again when he transforms back into Wario. For example, if Wario-Man does a Corkscrew and then transforms back into Wario in mid-air, it's possible to Corkscrew a second time without touching the ground. Also, if Wario-Man transforms back into Wario while wielding a Hammer or a Golden Hammer, the Hammer will restart its process over again, allowing the player to double the amount of time they can use the hammer. Occasionally, because the process restarts itself, the player may end up getting a headless hammer or a squeaky Golden Hammer afterwards.

Moveset

  Name Damage Description
Neutral attack   4% A left hook, then right hook. Can easily rack up damage due to it's lightning-fast speed and the fact the Wario-Man moves forward with every punch. These two properties can lead to an incredibly swift and effortless zero-death combo with Wario-Man's forward tilt as the coup de grâce.
4%
Forward tilt   17% Wario swings his right fist in a circle then thrusts it forward. Has great range and can be used in rapid succession.
16%
15%
Up tilt   10% (clean), 6% (late) Wario raises both hands above his head, raising the roof. Can be used in rapid succession like his forward tilt,
Down tilt   9% Wario stabs his index finger at the ground in front of him. Very quick and is a semi-spike.
Dash attack   12% Wario trips and falls flat on his face, sliding a small bit. Hits longer than one might expect it to, lasting through the time Wario lies on the ground. Can be interrupt be the last hit occurs.
Forward smash   16% Wario performs his trademark Dash Attack, from the Wario Land games and Wario World. Extremely fast and rockets Wario forward. Despite Wario-Man being invincible, it retains normal Wario's super armour and transcendent priority.
Up smash   2% (hits 1-5), 10% (hit 6) Head grows as Wario spins, hitting multiple times with the head. Best used for DACUS and has a vacuum effect.
Down smash   18% Wario spins on the ground, bashing foes with his head. Can be interrupted in the middle of the second hit.
Neutral aerial   15% (clean), 11% (late) Accompanied by a gradually lowering sound of falling, Wario extends his hands and fingers, then spins in place. A quick move to use in the air. Gives Wario-Man the most height compared to his other aerials.
Forward aerial   15% (clean), 11% (late) Sticks his foot a short distance forward. Fast and lasts a long time. Best used for "Wall of pain"-style attacking. Useful for momentum cancelling and edgeguarding. Spamming the move will make Wario-Man move fly forwards.
Back aerial   15% (clean), 11% (late) Throws his head backwards, hitting foes with it. Spamming the move will make Wario-Man move fly backwards.
Up aerial   18% Wario claps above his head with both his hands and feet. Very quick start-up, high knockback, can KO easily with low delay. The hitbox covers his whole body, even where he doesn't clap and has a slight horizontal disjoint. This is a great move to use on floaty characters with poor aerial defense. Spamming the move will make Wario-Man move fly upwards.
Down aerial   13% (hit 1), 10% (landing) Wario turns upside down and spins, drilling with his head. The attack is a meteor smash but makes Wario fall extremely fast and can possibly cause an SD.
Grab
Pummel   3% Pokes his opponent in the torso.
Forward throw   15% Wario spins the foe around thrice and throws him/her forward. Identical to Mario and Luigi's back throw, except the spun opponent doesn't hurt other foes. Based on the Wild Swing-Ding seen in Wario World.
Back throw   2% (hit 1), 15% (throw) Wario throws opponent behind him and hits them with his butt while posing.
Up throw   4% (hit 1), 13% (throw) Wario throws opponent into the air and jumps up, headbutting them.
Down throw   4% (hit 1), 3% (throw) Wario throws the victim on the ground and sits violently on top of them, who is then knocked behind Wario. Bystanders are meteor smashed.

Side special Wario Bike 13% (ride), Wario gets on his bike and drives around. Dangerously fast and must be used with caution on stages that are small or have little standing ground.
Up special Corkscrew 14% (hit 1-2) Goes higher than the regular corkscrew and deals electric damage.
Down special Wario Waft 0% (no charge), 8% (slightly charged), 19% (mostly charged), 50% (fully charged clean), 20% (fully charged late) Wario unleashes a gigantic fart on his foes. Charges extremely faster, the uncharged fart can stun, and the fully charged can OHKO.

Wario-Man
Wario's Final Smash. He chomps on his favorite food, garlic, and transforms into Wario-Man! His mobility goes way up. His attack power doesn't change much, but he scampers like a cockroach, using moves like crazy! He can jump over buildings and use midair attacks to fly. Oh, and he doesn't flinch from attacks. Think twice about bringing out his motorcycle at this time...

North America With just a little nibble of garlic, humble everyman Wario transforms into the hero of justice, Wario-Man! He's...still not really all that strong, but he does get quite a bit faster, and he can launch foes farther too. And like any good hero, he has the ability to fly...by spamming attacks in midair. Just like they all do it, right?

Origin

Wario-Man in WarioWare: Touched!

Wario-Man originates from WarioWare: Twisted! and WarioWare: Touched!, appearing as the alter-ego for Wario. In both games, once the player has beaten all of the microgame compilations from the other characters, the player unlocks Wario-Man's microgames compilation. In WarioWare: Twisted, Wario transforms into Wario-Man after falling into Dr. Crygor's invention: the Gravitator while in WarioWare: Touched! Wario transforms after consuming a rotten piece of garlic. This "new character" then appears on the main menu with a brand new set of microgames available to attempt. Wario-Man's games were the last of its kind both times and were more challenging than the preceding games.

In the cutscenes before and after his microgames, Wario-Man exhibits some kind of superhuman abilities; however, his increases in speed, strength and the capability of flight in Smash is more likely derived from typical superhero/super-villain powers in general comic books and other media.

Trivia

  • While Wario normally wears the Franklin Badge and Screw Attack on his nose, Wario-Man wears them on his stomach.
  • Wario-Man is available as a separate character through hacking, although when he is KO'd, he reverts back into Wario. At the end of a match, the game will freeze if he has not reverted into Wario due to having no results screen animations. Once reverted, he will not be able transform back into Wario-Man unless he uses the Smash Ball. The transformation will then function normally; reverting Wario-Man back into Wario after a period of time.
  • For whatever reason, the speed multiplier of Training Mode does not affect how long (in real time) Wario-Man lasts.
    • Oddly, while Giga Bowser's time was fixed, Wario-Man's was not.
  • In Brawl, when Wario-Man charges his smashes, they will make a sound effect different from regular Wario's charging sound effect.
  • Wario's bike disappears upon this move's usage.
  • In Brawl, whenever Wario-Man jumps from a ledge, he only jumps vertically with no horizontal momentum. This means that if he jumps from a ledge and the player does not press move left or right, he will grab onto the ledge again after he falls.
  • Wario-Man is one out of five Final Smashes that the user can taunt during, the others being Giga Bowser, Giga Mac, Mega Lucario, and Diffusion Beam.
