Watch The Throne is an upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate invitational tournament. It will be held at Guildhouse in San Jose, California from December 8th-10th. It was announced at the end of the first day of Get On My Level 2023 and is similar to the discontinued Smash Summit series. The tournament format is planned to have a group stage, gauntlet stage, and final bracket, like the Smash Summit series.

Much like Smash Summit, as well as invited players, there will be qualifier tournaments and vote-ins. 3 players were voted in; anyone who either made top 64 at any major/supermajor in 2023 or anyone who was in the top 100 for the LumiRank Mid-Year 2023 was eligible for voting.[1] There were 15 players in voting, with 3 rounds lasting 3 days each. Voting used the original Smash Summit style (before Smash Ultimate Summit 5).
