Edits about graphical changes:

Hey Miles. I noticed you reverted my edit about Mario's design in this game. While I see your point in the edit summary, his model indeed DOES have brighter coloration, making it look more like his Melee model. You also said: "I thought we weren't covering minor visual changes here?" That also confuses me, because there are edits covering visual changes present on the other SSB4 character articles, such as these particular sectionss. SmashBall104: Landmaster Totaled. On a slightly differnt topic, is it worth noting that FLUUD's water looks a lot more stylized? 130.209.6.43 09:45, 14 January 2014 (EST)
Probably not. Depends on your definition of what "stylized" means. GreenMarioBrawlHead.png Green Mario 16:40, 14 January 2014 (EST)

No idea how to add references

The amiibo video with Bill showed Scalding Flame but I have no idea how to add the [number] thing next to the info I added next on Mario's page about scalding flame. Leeyawshee (talk) 02:40, 26 June 2014 (EDT)

Alt as default image?

The image without the fireball seems to be used in-game on the character select screen, and has been shown pretty much everywhere that the fireball one otherwise would (such as Media:Mario Direct.png and the Smash Run screen pre 1 minute end battle). Should we change the one used on this page and the SSB4 character list template to the non-fireball one? FirstaLasto 01:50, 29 July 2014 (EDT)

Since this topic was ignored when it was first posted and I was about to post the same thing, anyone have any opinions on the matter? The non-fireball artwork is indeed used in-game and most everywhere else, I don't see why we should list that one as the alt. Laikue (talk|contribs) 19:14, 14 October 2014 (EDT)

I could agree to switching the two. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Sharp 20:49, 14 October 2014 (EDT)
Just switched the artwork. The filename of the new default is still "Alt" however, so that might be confusing to some. b2jammer (talk) 22:41, 9 December 2015 (EST)

Visually seeing the changes to Mario's moveset

This video shows his movest changes side-by-side from Brawl to Smash 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x64DfeSlBvc Pretty fitting for this wiki page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Horace (talkcontribs) 16:39, 22 September 2014‎

Galleries

I'm not sure where to discuss this, but why do the character pages have these galleries full of screenshots from the official site? They seem useless to me. Tepig (talk) 12:49, 20 October 2014 (EDT)

to show off the elements visually that are listed on their respective pages. Laikue (talk|contribs) 11:54, 22 October 2014 (EDT)

Changes from Brawl to Wii U

Here's the full lit of changes from Brawl to Wii U (since 3DS has made some changes with the updates)in case anyone still editing this page would like to see. Also, most of his voice clips were actually re-recorded, so now he sounds like he does in modern games, unlike Brawl which made him sound gruffer like in the 64 and early Gamecube games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egeQq0rrZ8k 72.50.83.194

Links in Moveset Section

Do we really need links for every single move???--Thejfh1999 (talk) 21:34, 22 December 2014 (EST)

Yes. See SW:MSP. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Jiggy 22:26, 22 December 2014 (EST)
Yup, optimally when the wiki is "Gold", there will be a page for every move in every game. Laikue (talk | contribs) 22:27, 22 December 2014 (EST)
Okay, it just looks a little weird with that many pages that don't exist.--Thejfh1999 (talk) 18:41, 23 December 2014 (EST)

Custom Special Viability

Would it be okay to mention which custom specials (Fast Fireball, custom FLUDD) are most commonly used in tournaments somewhere, now that the custom moveset combinations for EVO are out? 72.15.80.185 21:27, 29 March 2015 (EDT)

Official Custom Moveset Project

Should we mention Mario's sets on the page? If so, would we put it in the Moveset section, an "In Competitive Play" section or its own section? Nyargleblargle (Talk) 20:15, 3 May 2015 (EDT)

Merging the many moveset pages

I've noticed there's a lot of pages explaining the many movesets for each character, but I've also noticed that there are several pages that are the same thing, just from a different game. Would it be a good idea if we merge these pages into one? (I.E. Mario's Up Smash attack pages in Smash 64 and SSB4 merged into one, showing the differences between each game, if you know what I mean.) Falconpunch (talk) 13:36, 28 May 2015 (EDT)

Remember to sign your comments with four tildas (~). But to answer your question, I don't think that's needed. The point of those pages are for technical data and expertise, which may fluctuate between each game. Besides, once we have all the Smash 4 frame data, merged pages would be too large. Nyargleblargle (Talk) 13:03, 28 May 2015 (EDT)
We actually have this. See here. Serpent King (talk) 13:14, 28 May 2015 (EDT)
@NyargleBlargle: I see. Also, oops, I did forget to sign. @Serpent King: That's not what I meant. Falconpunch (talk) 13:36, 28 May 2015 (EDT)
