Giga Bowser Updates from JoeTE
This is JoeTE, the guy who started the mass editing of Giga Bowser's moveset into the article. I have an interesting update that can provide some interesting facts if you guys are okay with it.
I have managed to get the applications that allow Action Replay style hacking to be done for Wii games, and have some codes for Brawl. Interestingly, you can use codes to make your character Giga Bowser, a permanent one not linked to a Final Smash. The Giga Bowser functions just like the final smash, but it lasts forever, and also allows other characters to get smash balls(Though Giga Bowser becomes unable to move if he were to get it). Giga Bowser is fully functional(Even with his immunity to knockback), and unlike Melee, the game will not freeze upon a regular match ending(As he has results screen animations, though they aren't exactly complete). All of this can be done with Wario-Man as well, except Wario man has no results screen animations like Giga Bowser, thus the game will freeze upon a match ending.
If you guys would be okay, I might do some big research into all of this, and possibly edit some of this info into the article's triva section, as well as get more testing for his moveset. JoeTE (talk) 02:14, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay, I have done some more testing. Here are some more interesting facts about Giga Bowser...
1. His shield cannot be broken by any means. He can still be attacked from the shield though.
2. Not only is Giga Bowser unable to pick up items or use springs, but he also cannot enter through doors or teleporters in Subsapce either.
3. If you select Giga Bowser as your character in a Stamina match, his stamina will never go below a certain point, effectively making him unkillable.
4. Giga Bowser cannot use Smash Balls. If Giga Bowser breaks it, he will not be put into standby mode, and no more smash balls can spawn until Giga Bowser get's KO'd.
5. As mentioned earlier, Giga Bowser has Results screen animations. His Victory animation is simply his regular idle pose, and his loss animation is him in the default "T" position. They aren't complete, but at least he has some(Unlike Wario-Man).
6. Giga Bowser can be attacked by all the final smashes. Too bad they will not knock him back whatsoever...

LAST EDIT: I also now love Giga Bowser's down throw. When facing the blast line, and near an edge with the foe at around 80-100% or higher, it's practically a guaranteed KO. The foe is launched horizontally(Gravity takes effect as well) so fast, it's nearly impossible to recover, almost like being spiked. It's nuts and godly powerful IMO.
Differences Compiling
I have a text document showing all of the added effects to Giga's attacks, Damage dealt by them all, as well as all differences between him and Normal Bowser. While the immunity to knockback is nice, his Up B and Neutral B's have been nerfed. Up B no longer has insane vertical distance, and Neutral B is no longer infinite, but runs on a different diminishing timer than that of Normal Bowser. If okay, I may edit the article with the info I have documented. JoeTE 09:09, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Go ahead! :D ~Crystal_Lucario 11:06, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
I have updated the page, expanding it to include much more detail, including his moveset, differences from Melee to Brawl, and other misc. information.

Re-arranging
Besides adding a few new things just now, I also moved some facts to different parts of the article for a bit of consistency. I have it set right now so that the Playability via hacking section only contains info related to using Giga Bowser permanently via hacks. The Glitches and other oddities section currently has all glitches and strange oddities compared to other characters that can be seen in-game whether using hacks or not. The Trivia section has any other oddities compared to other characters that cannot be seen in gameplay, such as info contained within Brawl's files, as well as any general trivia that the section is known for. ==Crowd cheering glitch==
I can't get it to work. I tried a match with a 120% damage handicap Bowser, and 2 300% damage handicap Ganondorfs. I got the Smash Ball and KOd them both at the same time (easy task, but somehow harder than it should be) 3 times. The crowd didn't cheer, or "beep" in this case. To make sure everything was fine, I tried KOing them at the same time with normal Bowser afterwards, all 3 times. Cue immediate cheers. Either that thing in the article about the beeping is false altogether, or it's only true for when the player plays as a permanent Giga Bowser via hacks. Can anyone confirm this? If it's the latter, it should be pointed out in the article. Espyo (talk) 13:40, 24 March 2012 (EDT)

Giga Bowser is indeed returning for Smash Bros. 4 as Bowser's Final Smash. We got to see him during E3, at the demos.  Here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1P3i5vsGvkw&feature=youtu.be&t=0m50s
I know the quality isn't that great, but you should be able to identify him.

::::::Although the way Wario-Man works changed, it still has the same name. Also, the page has all the changes between the games on there as well. Luigi and Rosalina's names changed, but the functions stayed pretty much exactly the same. Both the name and function of the Final Smash need be taken into account, otherwise we'd have nearly identical pages, or ones that say more or less the same info in some areas.

Name of Final Smash[edit]

Take a look at this page: http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/bowser.html

The "Bowser: Final Smash" section says that the name is Giga Bowser Transformation. I think that the "Boswer's Special Moves" box is just referring to what he turns into. --Posted by Pikamander2 (Talk) at 12:39, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Every other source would also say so if it was it's real name, including the Special Moves box and it's Brawl trophy. Judging by this fact, it's extremly more accurate and correct that it's the "Transformation" part that means that he transform into Giga Bowser, and not vice versa. I mean, why would they have wrong in a later edit on their own website aswell as in the game? I'm going to move the page back to Giga Bowser (Final Smash) now, and it'll stay so unless a discussion is made about it here on the talk page, and everybody votes on YOUR idea. King M (talk) 21:09, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Hacked GB Question[edit]

According to the article, he can be hit by other Final Smashes when hacked. How does he interact with the Dragoon? Can he use it? And does he have the animation for flying it? Does he still take damage from getting hit? Does the mini-cinematic work? Miles (talk) 20:29, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

He can't pick up items, so he can't use it, he gets hit, so the mini-animation works, he just doesn't move, and he still takes damage. Youtube FTW.Smoreking 2009 is coming! 20:31, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Moveset[edit]

Is it really necessary to list everything? It's almost identical to Bowser's moveset. In the interest of filesize and succinctness (didn't know that was a word), wouldn't it be better to simply note any differences and otherwise just link to Bowser's moveset?
