I never see anyone refer to these as "edge recovery", I always see people call it "getup" and refer to them as "getup options" collectively. Additionally, when recovery is already in much more prominent usage for something different in Smash, it can just cause confusion to see the term be used for an entirely different action. Omega Tyrant 16:49, March 23, 2022 (EDT)

Some stuff

I've noticed a couple small things not covered in the article. The first is that in all three games, if a player presses down on the control stick, but not fully, while holding a ledge, that players character won't fastfall; he'll let go as if the player had pressed away. The second applies only to Melee, so I don't know if it's relevant to the article, but if you press up slightly in a similar manner as before while hanging onto a ledge, you will climb up as if you had pressed toward the ledge. 67.142.166.23 15:50, 14 July 2013 (EDT)

Merger/Move Suggestion

I think the giant list of recovery attacks belongs in its own article and it should be linked from the Edge recovery article. Also, it says that there are 2-3 recovery attacks for each character, but I am only seeing two. Is there any case where there are 3? --Quilt (talk) 05:26, 31 August 2013 (EDT)

Eh, it's around 18k bytes, which isn't too much ATM. I don't think the lists will be split at this current point in time. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 05:29, 31 August 2013 (EDT)

Trivia Point addtion

Sonic is the only character that perform two attacks on the ledge. Would this be okay to put this on the Article? Smashdude10 (talk) 15:41, 4 February 2014 (EST)

I don't quite understand this. Can you choose which one to use when you get up, or is it chosen based on your damage? b2jammer (talk) 19:29, 15 May 2015 (EDT)

Split?

This one is personally hard for me to decide on this one. Any comments? Dots (talk) Link OoT Dots.PNG The Bold 10:13, 11 August 2014 (EDT)

Support Because the lists would be better off on a separate page. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 10:21, 11 August 2014 (EDT)

I never see anyone refer to these as "edge recovery", I always see people call it "getup" and refer to them as "getup options" collectively. Additionally, when recovery is already in much more prominent usage for something different in Smash, it can just cause confusion to see the term be used for an entirely different action.
