Shigeru Miyamoto (宮本 茂, Miyamoto Shigeru, born November 16, 1952) is a Japanese video game designer and creator of many of Nintendo's flagship franchise characters, such as Mario, Donkey Kong, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Link, Zelda, and Wario, among others.

Shigeru Miyamoto has worked alongside Masahiro Sakurai throughout the Super Smash Bros. series.
