Plumbers
The Plumbers is a collective slang term that refers to the following characters:
Due to these characters being at least pseudo-clones of each other in each Smash game, they can be collectively referred to together, in a vein similar to the Star Fox characters being collectively referred to as the spacies. The term originates simply from Mario and Luigi being plumbers by occupation, while Dr. Mario gets grouped in for convenience. Referring to them collectively as the "Mario Bros" is also sometimes used, but is much less common due to being more of a mouthful to say, and "Mario Bro" being more awkward for singular use cases. Alternatively, when referring to Mario and Dr. Mario together but not Luigi, due to the two being much closer clones to each other than they are to Luigi, calling them the "Marios" is used.
