This glitch can be performed on any stage. To perform it, the character must use their [[up special move]] into a Mushroom, or have another player or CPU hit a [[Lightning Bolt]] while the move is being used. As a result, the character will fly into the air, until they hit a solid platform, at which time they will "float" there for several seconds. If no solid platforms are in their way, they will go above the upper [[blast line]], but not be KO'd.

Performing the Glitch

This glitch can be performed on any stage. To perform it, the character must use their up special move into a Mushroom, or have another player or CPU hit a Lightning Bolt while the move is being used. As a result, the character will fly into the air, until they hit a solid platform, at which time they will "float" there for several seconds. If no solid platforms are in their way, they will go above the upper blast line, but not be KO'd or put in helpless. It can also be reversed when a character who can redirect their up special move aims it downward into a falling mushroom, causing the opposite effect.
