Proposal[edit]
So I have long since thought that simply putting an incomplete tag over smasher articles who need results tables was a bit...well...dumb. I have thus come up with a solution! This is to be a maintenance icon, and it should hold all tournament and smasher articles missing their most important attribute. Thoughts and opinions are welcome. Serpent

- Don't know whether or not it's time to vote on this, but no matter what I have to support. I always had a huge problem with using just a plain old incomplete tag on articles needing results tables, because with how many there are, they usually get lost in the mix for years at a time. This will help greatly, because not only will it lower the amount of articles in the incomplete category, but it also better helps people know exactly how they can help with the article. - Maybe rephrase it to allow for the table being incomplete, as opposed to absent? Otherwise, this seems like a more specific way to tag things instead of just using "incomplete" or "smasher-stub", which isn't a bad idea. Miles (talk) 18:16, 22 November 2015 (EST)

- I'm not sure if having this as a new maintenance icon would be worth it (68/309 articles tagged as incomplete are Smasher articles), but I guess as a categorizer it should work fine. If anything I'd separate mainspace stubs from smasher stubs (which has been brought up before), since the imbalance between them is far sharper (24 regular stubs, 106 competitive stubs, more than 800 smasher stubs). -Menshay (talk) 18:24, 22 November 2015 (EST)

Not a bad idea to have a new category for this type of incompletion, though for its category name I would suggest "Articles in need of tournament results" instead of "Articles in need of a results table". I'm unsure whether it should have its own maintenance icon though. Toomai Glittershine
