I plan to create Wolf O'Donnell. It may take awhile, but please cope. (Lavaris 04:42, January 31, 2008 (EST))

Edited some stuff[edit]

Yay for English edits. Someone needs to clean up the pro's and con's though.

Wolf's locket?[edit]

Looking at them, I'd say he's wearing a set of Dog tags, not a locket. --Phred 07:10, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Ookami-kun 11:34, 10 March 2008 (UTC)It looks too big for dogtags.

official English B move names[edit]

The English game is out, so the move names should be updated (that is, if they don't share the same move name). Ookami-kun 11:35, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Are those B move names official?[edit]

IGN is rather... well... it's IGN.

Cleanup?[edit]

I don't see a big reason for cleanup. However, I'll try to clean it alittle. (Lavaris 19:25, 28 March 2008 (UTC))

Name needs to be changed![edit]

I do realize that Wolf's full name is Wolf O'Donnell, but the game and website just call him Wolf. So just like the Pikmin & Olimar to Olimar thing, I think that this article should be renamed Wolf (SSBB). Actually, now that I think about it, Fox and Falco's Brawl articles have the same problem!--King Dedede Kirby 17:04, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

I guess you're right. Although the full name seemed more "wikified", but I guess it does need shortened. I'll do the move? (Lavaris 18:26, 13 April 2008 (UTC))

wolf flash dash[edit]

I found if you cancel the wolf flash in mid attack you will get the normal dash and slide along the ground and a good fent the rest of what i wrote is under the wolf flash talk page.

Voice Actor[edit]

I'm confused. GameFAQs states that Wolf's voice actor is Grant Goodeve in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, while this page claims it is Jay Ward. Whom is the correct voice actor? (Wolf O'Donnell (talk) 21:39, 28 May 2008 (UTC))

Grant Goodeve was Wolf's voice actor in Starfox: Assault. I have Assault and Wolf's voice is different than it is in Brawl, so it's Jay Ward. --Schewe (talk) 22:10, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

I have both as well, and they do sound the same, despite the accent. Which is why I'm confused. Only SmashWiki has said that Jay Ward is the new voice actor, so I trust Wikipedia and GameFAQs whom both say the opposite.. (Wolf O'Donnell (talk) 22:12, 29 May 2008 (UTC))

Wikipedia actually also states it's Jay Ward.[1] --Schewe (talk) 22:16, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Tier List Position[edit]

Wolf is 22nd on the current tier list, and I noticed that someone unregistered added a description of the reasons for his tier position. The way I see it, the only people who can legitimately confirm the reasons for a character's tier position are SBR members, since the SBR creates tier lists and keeps most of their information to themselves. A description from a third party that isn't backed by visible proof from the SBR is, as far as I can tell, just someone's opinion, so I have removed the description. No hard feelings to whoever posted it. Mako Shark (talk) 03:07, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

And again. Mako Shark (talk) 07:11, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Standing Height?[edit]

Why is the picture of Fox's and Wolf's heights there? It seems to me the comparison doesn't really matter, and Wolf is bending over in the shot anyway.

Standing Height?[edit]

Why is the picture of Fox's and Wolf's heights there? It seems to me the comparison doesn't really matter, and Wolf is bending over in the shot anyway. Movie138music (talk) 21:53, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about double post. Movie138music (talk) 21:54, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

The reason is, if Wolf actually stood up straight, he'd be a lot taller than Fox. But he always has a bent posture when he stands, so their heights are about even. The image is on Wolf's Dojo page for the same reason, with the caption "Wolf bends at the knees to keep his fighting stance low." The low stance actually makes him harder to hit. Trivia about weight[edit]

Out of all three Star Fox characters, Wolf is considered the heaviest. However, he ranks lightest in the heavyweight group. This is similar to the Pokemon characters in Melee, in which Mewtwo was the heaviest of the four characters but was still a lightweight character.

I don't reckon this piece of trivia is valid. The first two sentences about Wolf's weight are already covered under his attributes, and the comparison with the Pokemon characters in Melee is too far fetched. There is no definite consensus on weight classes in Brawl or Melee, and this piece of trivia implies that there is. That said, assuming Mario is of average weight in both games, Wolf is technically slightly heavy and Mewtwo moderately light, so their weights aren't similar enough to be worthy of comparing anyway. Mako Shark (talk) 13:08, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn't say Mewtwo is moderately light, he is certainly a ligtweight. He was lighter than Marth was, which means he got knocked over by Fox's reflector and if he was in Brawl with the same weight, he would get knocked over by Dedede's down throw. But that was unnecessary trivia you removed. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 13:53, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Neutral attack[edit]

I'm sure it is 3% for all hits. I TESTED IT.--Wolf rulez! WolfHeadSSBB.png Playtime's over! 14:11, 4 May 2011 (EDT)

I have the game files and it says the hits go 3%-2%-4%. Not really sure under what circumstances you can get 3% from the second hit. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Ghostbuster 14:15, 4 May 2011 (EDT)
I'm still sure it's 3%-3%-3%.--Wolf rulez! WolfHeadSSBB.png Playtime's over! 14:16, 4 May 2011 (EDT)
Well, the files I have say it's 3%-2%-4%, and the prominent Wolf guide at SmashBoards says it's 3%-2%-4%, so while I don't think you're bad at testing I have a hard time taking your claim seriously. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Victorious 14:33, 4 May 2011 (EDT)
I'll try to prove it soon.--Wolf rulez! WolfHeadSSBB.png Playtime's over! 14:34, 4 May 2011 (EDT)
Wolf, make sure you test this in training mode or Stale-Move Negation will be affecting the damage Wolf does.--Shaun's Wiji Dodo talk Untitled-1 copy.gif 21:23, 4 May 2011 (EDT)
I tested Wolfs neutral attack again, and now it is 3%-2%-5%! But yesterday it was 3% for all hits! HOW.--Wolf rulez! WolfHeadSSBB.png Playtime's over! 03:50, 5 May 2011 (EDT)
The only way it would deal 3-3-3 is if you were affectred by SMN. The 5% is the usual one off, so it doesn't matter at all. MegaTron1XD:p 09:54, 5 May 2011 (EDT)

middle finger[edit]

am i the olny one who notices wolf sticks up his middle finger in the subspace emmisary--Pichu+Pichu (talk) 17:20, 17 September 2013 (EDT)

This kind of chat is only allowed on the IRC channel, as speculation and pointing out the pointless does not help this artice, nor this wiki. WashiWashi signature.png 17:26, 17 September 2013 (EDT)

Wolf[edit]

I need to ask:why was Wolf put in in the first place?
