This is phrased weirdly, so I thought I'd check before supporting -- does this version of the policy still prevent users from reverting edits that are in violation of this policy? It says "other" policies, so that implies that it is only other policies, but it isn't quite as clear as 1RV currently is. If the intention is for that part of 1RV to remain the same, then I would suggest rephrasing to say something to the effect of "policies (excluding violations of this reversion policy, as that will generally only serve to escalate the situation)". So what happens if one is trying to stop an edit war by having to edit war? For example, I revert an edit that User X made, then he reverts it. I then revert his edit because it's edit warring and then start a discussion on it. CookiesCreme 12:51, August 11, 2019 (EDT)

Only if it meets one of the four conditions listed in the policy. Otherwise it's not permitted, both under the original policy and this one. Assuming you're referring to the edit war on ZeRo's page, this would be ok since as you pointed out, ZeRo is severely lacking in results for Ultimate, and so the editor is violating SW:NOTABLE. This version includes a clearer explanation of what exceptions are, more advice about how to deal with edit wars, more on what an edit war actually is, and the focus of the article is on edit warring itself, not the term used to describe how it is governed.
