Forum:P+ moveset pages
I mainly wanted to make this proposal so as to achieve a higher quality of the Project+ section of the wiki. I already created the Dig / Drill Claw page for reference, I could also help cover the rest of the P+ moves if possible. SonicDude (talk) 13:25, September 14, 2025 (EDT)
- I oppose this. I feel like this goes against the spirit of the fact that, even if we have content for Project+ and other such mods, we're not a fanon wiki. Aidan the Gamer 14:28, September 14, 2025 (EDT)
Project M/+ is still listed as the exception to this fanon rule because of its popularity in competitive play. SonicDude (talk) 14:40, September 14, 2025 (EDT)
- Notice how I said that "even if we have content for Project+ and other such mods, we're not a fanon wiki". I don't take issue with the fact that we have coverage of such content on the wiki, and I also don't take issue with the fact that we've expanded that to include Smash Remix and The Akaneia Build, but I think that this goes beyond the scope of that. - Oppose. Character pages are necessary on the wiki since Project M/+ has historically had a very notable competitive scene, character heads redirect to those pages, and those pages are one of the few places where the Project M scene and competitive play is discussed. Anything beyond that seems unnecessary to me and may start a slippery slope for covering fanmade content in more depth than we should. Cookies

Oppose. Frankly, I think PM and its offspring get too much coverage on the wiki as is. SmashWiki is somewhat unique among NIWA wikis in that it actually covers mods and fangames beyond the occasional acknowledgement, but I don't think it should be covering them in much more depth than a page giving an overview of them. Rather, I think that detailed coverage of mods should be left to wikis specifically designed to cover modding, much like how MarioWiki doesn't discuss CTGP or other MKWii mods, but the Custom Mario Kart Wiiki is specifically designed to do so.
