Ally (born February 4, 1991) is a Canadian professional smasher from Quebec, Canada. He mains Snake and Meta Knight, but also plays Captain Falcon. Although he did not initially consider himself to be a Meta Knight main, he has recently stated that Meta Knight is "sharing my [his] main spot with Snake".[1] He is known to be the top player for both Snake and Captain Falcon, due his extremely good prediction, ridiculous Directional influence and being extremely fast at mashing out of grabs, although he himself usually pummels a lot, as some of his qualities. His strategies using Snake are unique, and he has stated that, "I've made all of [my strategies] from my mind. All the setups are from me. I haven’t seen any Snake use his projectiles and mines like [I have]".

Rise to Fame

Ally continues to smash competitively, attending many of the tournaments held all around North America, and has even attended the European tournament called Bushido Brawl Impact. He consistently does well, showcasing his skills as one of the best Brawl players in Canada, or considered by some people to be even better than Mew2King, making him one of the best Brawl players in the world. He was recently featured Chibo Sempai's blog in a recent interview, a testament to his growing popularity.

During his first trip to the USA for a major tournament, he placed 3rd at Cataclysm 4, losing to Mew2King and Azen. He would later attend Clash of the Titans 4, losing only to Mew2King (in both Winners and Grand Finals). At Apex 2009, he finally claimed his first victory over Mew2King, defeating him 3-1 in Grand Finals to win the tournament. Ally then followed through with a repeat performance at the recent Genesis tournament, defeating M2K a second time and taking first place once again. He later attended Evo, where he placed second, losing to mikeHAZE but beating mikeHaze is losers final and finally losing to M2K in GFs.

Some of Ally's notable accomplishments include coming first at VC7, 5th at Apex 2010, and top 8 in all Brawl MLG events in 2010 so far. Many players though have criticized or noted Ally's deteriorating performance in 2010 not placing or doing as well as he should, especially following Ally's loss to Mew2King at MLG Orlando. Ally simply notes that he'll "beat M2K when I'm [he's] ready".
