Article on Wikipedia Frankenstein's monster

The Creature and the Flea Man are recurring antagonists in the Castlevania series. The Creature is based on Frankenstein's monster from the seminal gothic horror novel Frankenstein.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The Creature and the Flea Man appear as background characters in Dracula's Castle. They do not seem to interact with the fighters.

Origin

The Creature is naturally derived from the classic horror monster, often erroneously referred to as Frankenstein. The Creature is in fact Frankenstein's creation, a body composed of parts from various corpses and reanimated by Frankenstein's experiments. The Creature's appearance is modeled after Boris Karloff's portrayal of Frankenstein's Monster in the 1931 film Frankenstein. The Flea Man is a recurring enemy in the Castlevania series, also known as Hunchbacks. Flea Men hop about erratically, making approach difficult. They are often dropped on the player by airborne enemies. An invincible Flea Man named Igor accompanies the creature as the boss of the fourth level of the original Castlevania.
