Should we use the series symbols or names next to the enemy list? I prefer the series symbols personally. Lasifer MaskedManSignatureSprite.PNG 14:31, 12 April 2014 (EDT)

I don't even understand why the symbols were removed in the first place. FirstaLasto 14:44, 12 April 2014 (EDT)

Ah!

Sorry, missed the discussion bit. The info was based upon the Direct, or at least what I understood from it. Feel free to revert. ScoreCounter (talk) 11:29, 15 April 2014 (EDT)

Two Metroid enemies too

The Metroid (it's both this and an AT) and the Reo (Other M design).

Bonkers

I don't have any proof, but while playing at Best Buy this morning, a challenge appeared for me to fight Bonkers (the Kirby miniboss that gives you the Hammer ability). I won't edit it in because I'm sure some actual evidence is necessary, but he's definitely in there. If I find some footage, I'll be sure to bring it here.—Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎50.142.113.149 (talkcontribs) 20:34, 14 June 2014‎

We'll gladly add Bonkers to the enemy list if you can find footage to confirm this. Thanks for letting us know. FYI, please sign your posts by using ~~~~. Miles (talk) 20:41, 14 June 2014 (EDT)

Found a video, actually. Effectively nobody is talking about this, so he's probably pretty rare. Around the 3:05 mark here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDglQ6-AQxo&feature=youtu.be 50.142.113.149 21:02, 14 June 2014 (EDT)

New Kid Icarus Enemies

Zurees from Kid Icarus: Uprising appear in Smash Run as enemies. Proof at the 23:30 mark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2p11j_Aju4 --DoctorFantastic (talk) 00:51, 16 June 2014 (EDT)

Another Kid Icarus Enemy

This is an enemy called Souffle from Kid Icarus: Uprising. Here is a video (it looks like a cake and appears around 5:17): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMseKXLk0zATepig (talk) 16:12, 17 June 2014 (EDT)

Heh heh...

Anyone wanna organize the enemies? ...Please? Anyone but me? Nutta Butta (talk) 11:07, 2 July 2014 (EDT)

In what way are they not organized? The table is sortable by enemy name or by series. There's looking to be enough of them that other setups would likely get cumbersome quickly. Miles (talk) 11:12, 2 July 2014 (EDT)
Most things like this (i.e. the list of characters) go in the order of each series' introduction, where here they are alphabetical both ways. I guess it's not necessary to change this, but it for consistency's sake, I'd rather it be changed. (But again, I'm not fond of the idea of doing it myself, so...) Nutta Butta (talk) 12:10, 2 July 2014 (EDT)
First of all, there's a lot more Smash Run enemies than there are playable characters. Second, we use an alphabetical list for characters too. It's sometimes just the simplest way to navigate a large list. Miles (talk) 12:25, 2 July 2014 (EDT)

Boss Events

Hello. There supposedly are Boss Events in Smash Run, that give you the option to challenge a Nintendo boss. While there is no footage, you can find discussion here, at the 23:47 mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujAkMslCfjo Kraid (from Metroid) and a Kremling (DKC) will supposedly be bosses. Is this enough evidence to add this? Nintendo101 (talk) 17:01, 5 July 2014 (EDT)

Under the recently established new game policy, it isn't enough proof to add it. See that page for the kind of acceptable sources for pages about the new games. Miles (talk) 17:47, 5 July 2014 (EDT)

Enemies Order

Does anybody else think we should list the Smash Run enemies in order of the series they come from, instead of alphabetical? I think it would be more convenient to group all of the series together so you can compare each series, rather than flooding the excess of Kid Icarus enemies throughout the whole table. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatum 12:33, 13 July 2014 (EDT)

I don't much see the need. The table is sortable as it is, so if you want to sort by series it only takes one click. Miles (talk) 12:48, 13 July 2014 (EDT)
Ah, I forget that you can do that. No need to change it, then. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatum 13:21, 13 July 2014 (EDT)

Lakitu And Spinies?

I was wondering....

Since the Lakitu and Spinies have different health and everything, and since spinies can still be alive, even when the Lakitu isn't and vice-versa, shouldn't they be different enemies, instead of just one enemy? as in, Lakitu being a separate enemy from Spiny.

We have the Subspace Generator as a different enemy from any members of the subspace army, so I think the same should go for Lakitu and Spiny.--Raph the Great (talk) 19:52, 17 July 2014 (EDT)

You're completely right. However, I think the reason it's a single page is because of the Brawl Assist Trophy. I think they should at least be listed seperately here, even if they both link to the same page. FirstaLasto 19:57, 17 July 2014 (EDT)
Yeah, I was thinking they could both link to the same page, but be listed separately on the the Smash Run page as well. Thanks.--Raph the Great (talk) 20:24, 17 July 2014 (EDT)
It's complicated a bit by the fact that Spinies have only been seen so far as enemies when a Lakitu spawns them. The comparison to the Subspace Generator isn't quite accurate either, since iirc Mites have been seen both with and without the generator. Miles (talk) 20:00, 17 July 2014 (EDT)
Hmm, I see your point. I won't separate them myself, I just wanted to check if my point was reasonable. I leave the decision to you guys then. As FL stated, they can be separate on this page and link to the same Lakitu and Spiny page. Thank you.--Raph the Great (talk) 20:24, 17 July 2014 (EDT)

Match Types List

I think the Smash Run page needs a list of the possible 1-Minute match types that can occur at the end of the Run. I was able to compose a small list of all the types I've seen so far:

Match Type Description
300% Smash All combatants spawn/respawn with 300% damage
Climb Climb as high as you can in a vertical scrolling stage
Easy Launch Knockback is increased
Flower Smash Combatants have the Lipstick's debuff
Mega Smash Combatants have the Super Mushroom buff
Reflect Smash Combatants wear Franklin Badges
Run Run as far as you can on a horizontal scrolling stage
Smash Standard 1-Minute Free-For-All smash
Stamina Smash Combatants fight with 150hp instead of % damage
Warp Star Smash Only the Warp Star item will appear

If anyone can add to this please do so. Gamefreak0 (talk) 10:50, 26 July 2014 (EDT)

There's also Stamina Smash, with each fighter starting with 150hp, as seen in Day 2 of SDCC. Anyways, I think we can incorporate this table somehow. Berrenta (talk) 13:52, 27 July 2014 (EDT)
Thanks for the Stamina Smash, I missed that one :) Gamefreak0 (talk) 17:01, 27 July 2014 (EDT)
You're forgetting Run!, a mode that Sakurai talked about in one of his PotDs. Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 21:34, 11 September 2014 (EDT)

No Online Smash Run?

My friend showed me this just now...I swear, Sakurai mentioned the opposite. And, if I'm not mistaken, you could play Smash Run at E3 with other 3DS's (please correct me if I'm wrong), which utilizes the online feature. So...thoughts on whether or not this should be mentioned? Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 21:38, 11 September 2014 (EDT)

Bafflingly, this seems to be legitimate. I guess it's local multiplayer only? I think the phrasing from the April Direct of "it's different from an ordinary online match" implied it was online, but I guess not. I don't get why, but so it goes. Miles (talk) 21:41, 11 September 2014 (EDT)
