Oppose Anon's pro merge reason entirely simplifies the move, and the merge reason is fallacious (current article length is not entirely indicative of if it should be merged or not, and this does not fit smoothly in the semi-spike article). Additionally, this is an infamous technique with notoriety on par with the Ken combo, being frighteningly effective at edgeguarding on most characters. The move also still works in Brawl (where the different physics and generally improved recoveries have made it less effective, but still deadly on most characters), and Wolf also has a version of the shine spike. Wolf needs his covered, and when we can have information in here on its impact in competitive play. The article as is now is much more than an article "about a move 's knockback angle", and is capable of being even more. Omega Tyrant 18:50, 18 November 2012 (EST)

Keep Although this is a kind of Semi Spike, it is by far the most discussed and notable of all of them. It's Fox main KO move in Melee, so it should be kept. Nipple spike hasn't been merged with Spike, neither has Knee Smash with Sweetspot. Mr. Anon teh awsome 22:12, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

I have no opinion on this yet, but you are wrong about this being his main KO move in Melee. Have you forgotten about Fox's u-smash? Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 22:19, August 11, 2010 (UTC)
Forgot about that, but I thought this was a more common strategy. Mr. Anon teh awsome 22:22, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

Bump[edit]

I guess I've changed my mind. This entire article is just about a move's knockback angle. I say merge. Mr. Anon (talk) 23:01, 12 September 2011 (EDT)

Merge[edit]

Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 18:50, 18 November 2012 (EST)

I too oppose for the same reason, and if you ask me, we already have enough concensus to remove the tag, the idea of merging it seems silly to me. Shine spike is way too notable to be merged.
