So 1.1.4 has been posted on the list of Smash Wii U patches for over six hours and everyone forgets about updating this page. Another reason why the two pages should have been either merged or template'd out - redundancy causes accuracy lag. [[User:Zowayix|Zowayix]] ([[User talk:Zowayix|talk]]) 22:10, 3 February 2016 (EST)

1.03 Patch Changes

I found a list of changes, in-case it's needed:

  • Yoshi no longer has armor on his aerials.
  • Mega Man's Mega Buster (Forward Smash) now travels farther. (almost half the stage)
  • Zero Suit Samus has apparently been nerfed; Down Special and Up Special don't KO at 90% anymore.
  • Ness' D-Air Meteors are now easier to hit.
  • Captain Falcon's D-Throw is now easier to connect, knee also easier to connect.
  • Possible upgrade in Internet servers.
  • Ganondorf's D-Tilt now has a different trajectory. (from straight up to up and away)
  • All of Meta Knights hitbox problems have been fixed.
  • Sheik now has little-to-no landing lag on her F-Air.
  • Shulk's F-Air has received a range increase, shorter landing lag.
  • Robin's Arcfire now lasts longer. (about a frame or two)
  • Donkey Kong's Smashes now come out faster. (small amount)
  • Marth's ranges are now slightly longer.

All of those are busted and false. See this SmashBoards topic. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Awesome 16:43, 27 October 2014 (EDT)

Mario's Dash Attack in 1.0.4

The knockback for both Marios' dash attacks have changed. Dr. Mario's is entirely vertical, while Mario is more diagonal and seems to send opponents behind him less often. Forgive me if this already was known, but I think the Wiki should include it in the changelog. 72.152.70.243 07:27, 18 November 2014 (EST)

Changelog page?

So Toomai's right, if we add all of the changes to this page it'll make a big mess. But I think it's kinda hard to find the changes if they're all spread across. What if we had a page for just a changelog? It would have a header stating what update this is, followed by a bulleted list of nerfs and buffs with character heads like we had it here. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 10:44, 18 November 2014 (EST)

That's not a bad idea. I'll start it based on what the page previously had and see how it goes. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Aurum 10:50, 18 November 2014 (EST)
Or could just have a sentence for each category of notable changes listing them. Such as "Updated [character/stage]s: Metaknight, Dr. Mario, Rosetta & Chiko", since hunting each one down on ones own will get annoying fast. Since they'd link to the character page with the updates on those pages, it would inform of what got changed and could easily go to them to see what it was if interested. Of course, this only matters based on the assumption that they are going to be doing a LOT of updating of characters like this, which I really can't imagine they will... Amiibo 1.0.5

I'm unsure that amiibo are compatible on the regular 3DS using the stand accessory. GameXplain posted a video showing that you have to press ZR to put it in battle. Does this mean that the amiibo are NOT compatible with Smash Bros. in the original at all? --NintendoNinjaCarson (talk) 21:44, 10 February 2015 (EST)

Given that SSB3DS is smart enough to know not to show the amiibo menu on an original model 3DS, I expect it will detect the amiibo accessory and make it available in some capacity. Miles (talk) 22:17, 10 February 2015 (EST)
Not so sure about that. Look at the update notes: "Nintendo 3DS/XL systems will be compatible with amiibo functionality using a peripheral device scheduled to launch in 2015 and the software update that will follow". This implies that compatibility with the peripheral is not currently implemented and will be added in a future update. Also, the peripheral doesn't appear to physically connect to the 3DS (it uses infrared, I think?), so I doubt it would be automatically detected. Zyrac (talk) 05:02, 11 February 2015 (EST)
The New Nintendo 3DS doesn't need an accessory to connect with amiibo, right? So if they're making one, it means the original 3DS can use amiibo as well. 84.26.240.80 07:37, 11 February 2015 (EST)
What I'm saying is that the old 3DS will be compatible with Smash amiibo, but that I think the game will require another update to make it happen. Zyrac (talk) 07:44, 11 February 2015 (EST)
I don't think the 3DS has the NFC communication technology that the New 3DS has, so I'm fairly sure amiibos will not work. I'll try it out when I get home. --Meester Tweester (talk) 10:24, 11 February 2015 (EST)
It doesn't; that's what the accessory we're talking about is for. It's not out yet, so for the time being amiibo support is limited to the New 3DS, but it won't always be. Zyrac (talk) 10:47, 11 February 2015 (EST)

1.0.7 is out
