Um

How exactly is this a "technique" when the article itself stresses how the phantom hits are for the most part completely unintentional, and does not seems to aid the character at all? The definiton of technique in the category itself states, "Techniques are actions done by characters other than attacks that improve the skills of the player." Notrly for glancing blows. --HavocReaper'48 22:09, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

It's not a technique; thing is the Dojo lumped it in with some actual techniques. Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png The Stats Guy 22:11, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
Can I have a link? Also, do we still keep it a technique? --HavocReaper'48 22:20, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
This page. We shouldn't keep it as a technique. Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png The Table Designer 22:30, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Melee image

Considering how there's no indication of glancing blows in Melee, I would argue that an image of such would be quite useless if it could even exist. Toomai Glittershine ??? The SMASH-GINEER 18:16, 29 October 2011 (EDT)

You could by taking a screenshot that shows a before and after, where a glancing blow deals half the damage with no knockback. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 18:21, 29 October 2011 (EDT)

Given that I have never heard of "phantom hit" until just now, and that the term is apparently Melee exclusive, I oppose. Serpent SKSig.png King 18:10, 24 January 2016 (EST)
It's not Melee exclusive, it's just used most frequently for Melee. That said, I don't see a reason for the move given that there's an official name in place. Aardvarkian (TalkContributions) 18:15, 24 January 2016 (EST)
