:::Agreed. I feel like the basis for some of these moves sharing pages with other moves were arbitrarily determined in 2007 or something because they share names and the wiki decided to stick with that ever since. If I want to read about Luigi's Fireballs, I want to read about Luigi's Fireballs, not Mario's. I don't see why every special move can't have a dedicated page, excepting Echo Fighters. John HUAH! 14:48, May 12, 2019 (EDT)

fire colors

"A fire flower would also change the character's clothing colors; Mario's overalls became red, while Luigi's turned green, both with white shirts. These color schemes are available as alternates costumes for both characters in every iteration of Smash Brothers."

This is true, right? -Zixor (talk) 20:55, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, but why are you asking? RAN1 20:58, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

gif

I'm quite sure that the fire mario gif is not from super mario allstars SMB 3, but from SMB, or shared between them. I searched Super Mario Wiki for a picture like the one shown, but it's not there (or easy to find) Kid Iclaus! This Name Stinks! 03:18, 18 January 2012 (EST)

Custom Section

So I have a complete set of all custom move icons in smash 4. I decided to make a template from this, possibly for use in each move of the game. I have implemented this in Mario's Fireball custom section. I want thoughts and critiques before I go any further. SerpentKing (talk) 04:41, 28 August 2015 (EDT)

Generally it looks pretty good. My only real suggestion is that you add the 1-2-3 numbering to the gallery descriptions and fix the numbering on the bullet point descriptions as well. The fact that we have the alternate customs listed as "default, alt 1, alt 2" is an artifact of the way they were revealed, and probably isn't the best way of doing it when most people use "1, 2, 3" to describe custom specials. Can you format it the way you think it should be done? so I can get a feel for what I am doing? SerpentKing (talk) 21:47, 28 August 2015 (EDT)
1. 1. Fireball 2. 2. Fast Fireball 3. 3. Fire Orb

"Throws a fireball that bounces on the ground." "Throws a faster, slightly weaker fireball straight ahead." "Throws a big ball of fire. Slow, but hits repeatedly before disappearing."
 1. Fireball: Default.
 2. Fast Fireball: Travels directly forward at high speed, but does not cause knockback and inflicts less damage.
 3. Fire Orb: Moves slowly in an arc and can hit foes more than once, since it does not disappear upon hitting an enemy.

Something like that. Miles (talk) 12:29, 29 August 2015 (EDT)

Then not have the gallery? SerpentKing (talk) 18:57, 29 August 2015 (EDT)
I only didn't include the gallery of actual gameplay shots because I wouldn't change it. Miles (talk) 19:40, 29 August 2015 (EDT)

Split

Honestly, Mario and Luigi’s Fireballs are different enough to warrant separate pages, especially if Silver Bow and Double-Edge Dance can have their own pages. Lou Cena (talk) 18:39, May 11, 2019 (EDT)

Unlike those others, they have the same name. Wolff (talk) 22:43, May 11, 2019 (EDT)
I still fail to see how sharing a name makes them need to share a page. Dr. Mario’s pills are more similar to Mario’s fireballs, yet those are separate. Lou Cena (talk) 13:24, May 12, 2019 (EDT)

I agree, we should split all the special move of the same name, except for the fully clone.--Capstalker (talk) 15:54, May 12, 2019 (EDT)
