Talk:Duck Hunt (SSB4)
Better Render
This is pretty much the full render for Duck Hunt. I would upload it myself, but I don't have an account.
Hogan's Alley
DH's final smash is a showdown between the characters of Wild Gunman and Hogan's Alley, not just the former. -99.241.174.148 11:52, 12 September 2014 (EDT)
Clay pigeon move
Most likely side-B, throws a clay pigeon which is then shot from the foreground. Seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiYZ--cIQtA&t=236 Even clearer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diAOHeVcB1Q
Only SSB4 newcomer with a Melee trophy
Of all the newcomer playable characters in SSB4, the ducks (but not the dog) of Duck Hunt were the only ones with a Melee trophy (granted, most of the others were either too new or too third-party.) Is this noteworthy trivia? --54.240.196.185 20:29, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
Render
Hey, there's a picture of Duck Hunt on the Smash Bros. Miiverse fansite, and I wanted to know if it's eligible for being Duck Hunt's image on the articles.

Maybe I could crop off some transparent space. --NintendoNinjaCarson (talk) 21:04, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
- I don't see why not. Rtzxy Smashing! 21:33, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
- *Sonic impersonation* I'm on it! Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 21:34, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
Never mind. Someone else found or made a better one with no horribly pixelated and blurry border. --NintendoNinjaCarson (talk) 09:09, 18 September 2014 (EDT)
Consistency
I think we should decide whether to consistently call Duck Hunt either a duo or a trio. I personally include the unseen gunman, so i think that The character is a trio. What do you all think? I think either way consistency is key Gpev96 (SHAZAM!) (talk) 10:33, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
Duck Hunt Duo is the the official English name
confirmed on reddit.
So can someone rename the page? Or will we keep it as "Duck Hunt"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by MunchyMunch (talk • contribs) 14:59, 2014 September 30 (EDT)
- First, reddit is not an official source, so no move. Second, sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). Rtzxy Smashing! 15:05, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
- This image is linked there, and I would believe it since some European stores are bringing out copies of Smash 3DS already. Scr7(talk · contribs) 15:10, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
- Does anyone else find it odd though, that people keep refering to them as a duo, and not a trio? Do you guys consider the gunman as the third character? Gpev96 (SHAZAM!) (talk)
All the text dumps we have so far don't agree with this name, and I'm hearing a few with the North American review copy saying "nope". Toomai Glittershine The Resolute 15:27, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
- I don't see why they would fake this, it seems like a stupid thing to fake. But I don't think we should rename it if there's no proof but a picture. That's what SW:NEWGAME says, right? ...a new Nuttais approaching... 16:08, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
- It is a stupid thing to fake, but that really says nothing. It could still be fake; anyone could fake anything, no matter how stupid it may seem. We should in fact wait until October 3, which is only 4 days away, until we move the page (or not), but until then, we keep it as is. Rtzxy Smashing! 16:19, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
Why is everybody telling us to wait? The next Smash Bros game is coming out in 4 DAYS, I can't take that level of hype. (MunchyMunch (talk) 17:14, 30 September 2014 (EDT))
- Because we need video evidence before we can add it as fact, as stated here. Plus, it's only four days; we can wait and you can survive. Rtzxy Smashing! 17:17, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
From Jed05's stream, I can clearly see that Duck Hunt Duo is the official name. Awesomelink234 You rang, dude? 20:58, 30 September 2014 (EDT)- Wait, on second thought, Jed is actually playing the EU version, as Find Mii was called, "StreetPass Quest" (it's EU name). Wait a sec. On that image... where's ROB? ...a new Nuttais approaching... 21:46, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
- He's an unlockable? Probably means he hasn't unlocked R.O.B. yet. Aidan the Gamer 21:47, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
- But the roster design seems different... even on the default roster, Shulk is placed with the third party characters. Why would he move up a row? ...a new Nuttais approaching... 21:50, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
- If memory serves, when Luigi was unlocked in Melee, he bumps Pikachu down to a ?-space. Plus, Brawl's roster totally moved around when you unlocked characters. It's not like this is new to us. Aidan the Gamer 21:52, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
- Yes, that's all true, but Shulk starts out on the bottom. This would imply he starts on the bottom, moves up a row, but then moves back down. And he's not the only one. Ness is also moved up a row. Not to mention ROB is the only character absent. It seems odd he would be the last one unlocked. ...a new Nuttais approaching... 21:55, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
