You might want to actually go to Controls and try it yourself. It's also in the Dojo!! and PAGE 9 OF THE INSTRUCTION BOOK. - Gargomon251 (talk) 01:28, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Garg, you wanna try that again without the sarcasm? :) Kperfekt722 (talk) 07:06, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Are we allowed to have polls on mainspace articles?highway Highwaypumpypic.png pumpy 23:55, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

No, that never should have been allowed. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 01:27, April 21, 2010 (UTC)

3DS/wii u connectivity

After some recent edits of mine, references to whether or not the 3ds can connect as a controller to the wii u being unknown were removed on the basis that it can reasonably be assumed that it cannot. However I'm not sure this assumption can be made. I know that the two systems can directly connect, I have used this connection to transfer miis. Though uncommon, using such a connection to implement a handheld as a controller has a precedent in the previous console generation when a DS could be used as a controller when playing Pokemon Battle Revolution on the Wii. Given the nature of SSB4 I don't think it's entirely unfeasible that, as a convenience for 3ds users who want a unified control scheme across versions, they might try something like that again.66.87.101.63 04:03, 26 June 2014 (EDT)

There is a difference between "transfer of data" (which your examples are) and "direct game control" (which SSB4 would need). I'm not an expert, but I believe that trying to use a 3DS for directly controlling a Wii U game, as opposed to simply transferring data (where real-time speed is not a concern), would be too slow to be reasonable. though you have to go back 2 console generations to see it, an example of real time control with a handheld is Legend of Zelda 4 Swords Adventures for the Gamecube that used a GBA as a controller. 66.87.101.63 00:21, 27 June 2014 (EDT)
And there existed a physical mechanism to do that. To my knowledge, no such means exists at the moment for 3DS-Wii U direct connectivity. Miles (talk) 07:32, 27 June 2014 (EDT)
