After starting out as a competitive smasher on the GameCube and Wii emulator Dolphin's netplay in February 2014, he attended Republic of Fighters 3 as his first tournament, entering in both Melee singles and the Project M singles side-event, where he lost to Bjay early in loser's bracket.
