Zantetsu began his competitive smash career in June 2006 when he was only 12 years old. Both players attended and started to play Melee alongside the Brawl tournaments, slowly converting Brawl players over to Melee. This was the start of the Springfield, MO Melee scene that has grown larger ever since.
