Originally, he began competing by visiting community centers and highschools in the Toronto area that were hosting tournaments. After a year of honing his skill at local events, he set his sights on what lay beyond Canada. He began travelling across North America at age of 18, competing in New York, Massachusetts, Atlanta, Michigan, Pittsburg, Baltimore, and Kansas all before he turned 22 - picking up some notable tournament placings along the way. The experiences and lesson he gleaned frfom first U.S. major event in 2008 lead to numerous local tournament wins. With his best friend, doubles teammate and highschool classmate [[Ryan Ford]], the rest of North America began to wake up to the reality of strong contenders in Canada. Raynex was the first-ever dual-sponsored player in Canada, competing in SSBM and Street Fighter simultaneously at major events. Raynex has accumulated tournament wins in his tenure, including the likes of [[Hungrybox]], [[N0ne]], [[Kage]], [[KoreanDJ]], [[KirbyKaze]], and [[Colbol]]. Biography
