By pressing a C button after selecting a character
(depending on which one specifically),
you can change your character's colour.

However, you cannot do this in team battles. In addition, two players can't select the same colour.

If you change a character you like to a color you like,
you'll like using them even more!

#22 [Options] Press B on the character selection screen!

Wouldn't it be convenient if the character selection screen could be cancelled by the B button?

In fact, holding the B button will return you to the menu.

Why is it like this?
When you have 4 players, some who might be children or beginners, it would be cumbersome to accidentally return to the previous screen.

On the character selection screen, if you click in the upper-left with A,
 you can switch between team battle and battle royal.

(where "Battle Royal Mode" or such is written)

Likewise, in bonus stage practice,
you can switch between bonus stages 1 and 2.

You can also roughtly tweak the stock and time display in the middle of the screen.

CPU members and settings, handicap, colours, and team settings, the character selection screen has a lot of little things that all 4 players can fool with.

#24 [Options] Random selection on the character selection screen!

Maybe you play everyone so well
that you think "Any character will do just fine".

If so, you might want to pick a character at random.
First, before you place your chip
switch to COM (computer player).

This puts the chip on a random available character, so
switch to MAN (player) again to play as that character.

Once in a while, I like to play with all 4 random players,
"pick in the dark" is also interesting.

#25 [Misc.] Press Z on the character introduction screen!

On the character introduction screen,
you can move the Control Stick while holding Z
to view the character from almost any angle.

A kind of delicate trick.
