Pocket (しまう/とり出す, Store Away/Take Out) is Villager's neutral special move. When this move is activated, Villager is given a few frames of invincibility, and the Villager is able to pick up any item or reflectable projectile within range of their hand and stuff it in their pocket. They have even been shown to be able to store Zelda's Phantom with this move. After storing the item, the Villager can use this move again to pull out a stored item to hold or 'throw' a stored projectile as his own attack. The Villager can only store one object at a time; if something is already stored, then Villager will pull out the stored thing and Pocket the new one.

Origin

In Animal Crossing, the biggest goal of the game is collecting random items to decorate the player's house. In the games, the player is given an inventory space of 15 slots (16 in New Leaf). Furniture, sea shells, letters, and fruits are among items that can be picked up. Items could then be placed anywhere in the world. Picked up items can also be sold to a store for some bells, the currency of the game.

Trivia

  • This move makes it possible to "carry" a heavy item more efficiently than even Donkey Kong. Making use of the stored item will, however, be a bit slower due to having to pull it out again then throw.
