Luma Shot (チコシュート, Chiko Shoot) is Rosalina's neutral special move in SSB4.
Overview
The effects of this move vary depending on the situation. If there is a Luma present, this move is used to command it, either shooting it out varying distances away from Rosalina with a chargeable attack, or bringing it back to her if it is far away.
Kirby can use the Luma Shot via copying Rosalina, which spawns a Luma that immediately disappears after it is projected away.
Customization
Special Move customization was added in Super Smash Bros. 4. These are the known variations:
- Luma Warp: Luma instantly teleports a set distance away from Rosalina.
- Power Luma Shot: Luma moves very slowly in a drill-like fashion, and doesn't travel very far. A fully charged shot will inflict about 21% damage, with considerable knockback. Opponents that are sent flying can damage others they come in contact with.
Origin
Near the beginning of Super Mario Galaxy, Rosalina uses her wand to summon a Luma for the player to use. The summoning aspect of Luma Shot is a reference to this cut scene. In the sequel, a second player can control an additional Luma. The second Luma can both stun and defeat enemies from a short distance.
