The Chain Jacket Glitch is a glitch in Super Smash Bros. Brawl that makes Sheik replace her Chain move with the last move used previously. To perform the glitch, the player must use any move, short hop, and, in the highest part of the jump, release the chain. If doing it with an attack with multiple hitboxes with sex kick properties,, then the last hitbox that remained will become in the glitch. If it's a move with hitboxes at the same time, then parts of the chain will become a sourspot, the other part of the chain's hitbox will become the sweetspot. This glitch can sometimes make the Wii freeze. Another way to do this is to do two moves and then a third move(preferably a fully charged Up smash) and none of the moves have to connect with the opponent. Then perform a jump from the ground(not a short hop because it won't work) and right before Sheik curls, use the Chain. Three moves must be performed or the game will freeze. This glitch is very handy because of the Chains high priority and long range and can easily rack up tons of damage in an incredibly short time. When using this glitch, it will not suffer Stale Move Negation and will quickly refresh other moves making it a must to master for Sheik mains because of her little KO potential.

This glitch is very similar to Ness' Yo-yo Glitch in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

If used in the Home Run Contest co-op mode, using the glitch with the home-run bat's smash, the other player being Pikachu (or another character with a move to keep the sandbag in place) constantly using his neutral A attack, it is easily possible to get 300% on sandbag. Although, it becomes difficult to get a lot of distance since the home-run bat's smash attack is maximally decayed after.

Trivia

 • Correctly performing the glitch without attacking prior causes the game to freeze.
